Cwyrt Cottage

Nice people. Nice cottage. Just needs that special something

We stayed here for a week 9th April 2022 onwards . Reading from previous reviews - there is ample room to park two cars , room at the front and the side - the cottage is on the farm so the ‘ road ‘ in front of the cottage is not quite as some described and is more like the drive to the farmer’s house !. The cottage is very spacious and all bedrooms are a great size, upstairs is huge . The kitchen is a lovely area for family meals. The pool table is great :) not many tv channels but we didn’t really have much time to watch Tv anyway - there are some dvds or bring some :) The owner is very friendly and around to help . Little visits from the farm dog was lovely for the children .Although the farm is a working farm is lovely and peaceful.
The cottage is in a great location to visit so many beautiful places . We were so busy - we went to south stacks lighthouse - a must ! Red wharf bay, pali palas nature world , gypsy wood play centre, Caernarfon castle - definitely worth a visit, Beaumaris castle and the Gaol, Plas Newyyd, Penrhyn castle and gardens - a very beautiful place and Angelsey sea zoo .. We hope to return one day to visit more places in the area :) The farm itself is home to some beautiful wildlife , a buzzard very nearby and you could hear a woodpecker and lots of other birds like chaffinches and goldfinches .
Only improvements - maybe some new quilts :)
You won’t be disappointed if you take it for what it is which is an old cottage :) if you expect new build appearance then you will always find fault !
