We have just completed a stay in the Silverbirch Lodge for 7 nights and it was the most amazing December getaway! This accommodation is no less than perfection, with the owners thinking of every small detail you can imagine to make this special place feel like a home away from home. To begin, we felt fully prepared for what we would need and what plans to make due to the incredibly thorough digital guidebook that Jess and Stuart sent us. It’s the first time we’ve used one of these and it was so helpful in every way. The guidebook covers everything the lodge provides, arrival/departure information, recommendations for food, the local area, & useful contact numbers. We referred back to this a lot and it was great.
The family really have thought of everything, from the kitchen amenities having hot chocolate and marshmallows, to creating ready made picnic rucksacks and blankets ready for a trip to the BBQ area by the streamside. The interior is completed by modern chic accessories with a cabin feel to compliment the location. There’s a sound system which you can connect your own media to which was a nice touch whilst cooking. The bed is not something you will want to leave as it is the comfiest we have slept in. Ever. The entire lodge is spotless for cleanliness too, which is comforting in times such as this. They’ve got hand sanitizer on arrival and use the NHS track & trace too.
If you fancy going for a night time trip to the BBQ/Fire Pit like we did, we’d highly recommend it. We took some nibbles, mulled wine in a flask and lit the fire, listening to the sound of the stream next to us and having a blanket of clear night sky above us. Peaceful doesn’t even cover it.
The views from both the lodges and the stream side area are beautiful, with lots of area to explore. From the hot tub, you can on look trees and clear skies, with animals just roaming the fields to your right.
As we were leaving, the family were even bringing Christmas trees, home made wreaths and festive decor for the lodges too. We thought this was such a nice touch for the Christmas period and we were only sad that we weren’t there to enjoy them! We travel about a lot and this has to be our top favourite place we have visited. Will definitely be visiting again.

Absolute bliss! Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing and rejuvenating retreat.
We stayed in Silver Birch which is extremely comfortable, well appointed and finished to a high standard. We loved the decor and attention to small details e.g the grab and go BBQ bag. Everything has been considered.
This place is awesome for couples - beautiful surroundings to explore, the streamside BBQ area is a must, and we loved listening to the stream from our lodge. There is a covered gas fire pit table outside and good sized hot tub. Perfect for romantic evenings outdoors. The clear night sky offers a superb view of stars and constellations.
The jewel in the crown though is the exceptional thought and care provided by the owners, Jess and Stu, who both go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home. We encountered a slight glitch with our electric and oven, but within a few minutes, Stu arrived to resolve the issue - even sorted out cooking our pizzas for us so we didn’t have to wait. This care is what sets Nant y Coed lodges apart from the rest. Keep doing what you’re doing guys. Quite possibly the most personal service we’ve experienced on our travels, so big thanks to you both.

Well jess and stu, we were due for Xmas last year but as it was cancelled we had weekend from 2nd to 5th Jul, you both have thought of everything absolutely fabulous. Lodge is done out to high standard down to the music amp and speakers, the stream side fire pit area outstanding, will definitely book again and stay longer thankyou both 😀
