What a beautiful place this is. A small family run business centrally located in Mid Wales. Peace and quiet abound in the stunning Welsh countryside. There are two very well appointed lodges here Red Kite and Dragon Lodge, both with spectacular views over lakes, open fields and rolling hills. Both have large decked verandahs complete with loungers, chairs, table and beautiful private hot tub. The lodges are of solid wood construction and very well furnished with quality comfy beds etc. No expense has been spared everything inside the lodges are top quality. Obviously these lodges are a labour of love for the family who own them. Kev, Julie, Josh and Gemma are all very much involved in making your stay as nice as possible. The delicious cake left on the table on arrival. Fresh bread, milk, tea, coffee and sugar were all ready for us when we arrived. There were so many little extra touches that I couldn't list them all. I can honestly say that it's one of the nicest places I've stayed and we as a family have stayed in many lodges. This place is far enough away from the hustle of busy towns to really chill out but close enough to get your shopping at the nearest town Newtown some 20mins away. We even had our shopping delivered from the local Tesco so we could just relax once we arrived. I read lots of wonderful reviews about these lodges before we arrived and yes it really is a truly wonderful place, so peaceful, extremely charming and a delight for children. The owners Kev and Julie are really lovely and were very friendly. The children loved feeding the animals from the balcony every morning, the hot tub is quite large and yes everything in the lodge is top quality. Comfy beds, bread milk and chocolate cake on arrival.which was delicious! There is a lovely pub about 15 minutes walk with a nice beer garden where the children enjoyed playing hide and seek and a small village shop for the children to pop in and get a treat. We stayed in dragon lodge and there was plenty of room for all of us. This is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed and we can't wait to go back next year.We have booked both lodges for next year, once my daughters saw the photos, that was it ,they also wanted to come. Can't wait to go back, it was so relaxing and the views are incredible!. Book one of these lodges and you will also fall in love with this beautiful place.
