I stayed with my family several times in this beautiful place. Very clean, quite, close to beaches and importantly Wales Skanthavel Temple. You have a ample of spaces around the house. we enjoyed our stay very happily without any issues. Had a wonderful best holiday. Good relaxation. Looking forward to go there more.

Not very clean and far away from most popular attractions.
Found 2 cockroachs in the dining room and the matresses were really uncomfortable, springs digging in your back.
Grass uncut until our last 2 days.
Would of expected more for holiday home.

The house was large with plenty of space downstairs even if there was full bedroom occupancy. The kitchen was well equipped with two of most appliances. We only 'cooked' toast but I think there would be everything you would need to cook meals if you wished. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy the lovely garden where there was plenty of room for ball games without fear of damaging anything. The owners were very helpful and flexible when our plans had to change just before our visit because of Covid regulations.

We stayed for a long weekend to spend family time together rather than visit local attractions. There was a little shop at the junction with the main road for milk etc, along with a chip shop which was nice and we also had a Chinese takeaway from the Manford House a little further along the road.

We, a group of friends, had a short break at Vijay Gardens. It is a big house capable of accommodating 16 people comfortably. The rooms are spacious with mostly en suite facilities. All the rooms are clean. Big kitchen with all required facilities such as fridge, dish washer, microwave etc. and cutleries and utensils are provided. Huge dining room with large dining table full dinner sets and lots of glasses for wine, whisky, beer etc. There is a cinema room with a large projector with multi-media facility including Sky TV. This room is big and can easily entertain 30 people. The highlight of this big house is the large garden and the river that runs along the garden. On a sunny day sitting on the bench provided and listens to the flowing water of the river and the chirping noise of the birds would be heavenly.

Our friends have agreed that we would definitely visit this place again.

Let’s start with the positives, the property itself is lovely as are the grounds that it is sat in. However, unfortunately for us we encountered a number of issues, namely 2 burst water pipes and a locked bathroom door which we couldn’t get back in to as the caretaker who had a key was on holiday.

The property really needed a little TLC which would have made it amazing, something that we had commented on before our issues began.

The problems really started when we spoke to the owners… initially on the phone there was a comment essentially blaming the children for the pipe bursting.

When we returned home from the holiday we tried to come to an informal agreement with the owners for a partial refund at which point they made a number of accusations regarding how the property was left, all of which were entirely false and no evidence was ever produced. We then spoke with the company we booked it through and the owner told them the same thing which by ‘company process’ means they will stay out of all compensation claims. We were finally provided with our deposit back and a fair compensation package 5 months later after going through arbitration.

Where to start. On day 2 of our stay a hot water pipe burst behind the downstairs shower, filling the bathroom with steam and extremely hot water, narrowly missing scalding my wife. This shower was out of use for the stay.

Then the bathroom door of an upstairs on-suite got lock when it banged closed, the caretaker, who had the key, was on holiday and we had to work the lock open. We were informed that this happened on a regular basis.

4 days in we had water leaking through the ceiling in the lounge, on investigation this was from the waste pipe of an upstairs shower.

Both leak incidents were attended by British Gas home service, but not repaired during our stay.

The trouble really started when we complained to the owner. They then raised the issue that the shower pipes had been cut, we had left kitchen mat that smelt of urine and too many other issues to list.

This property has the ability to be fantastic, we made great memories there. Just spoilt by a lack of maintenance.

Beautiful and spacious home

We had a family holiday at Vijay Gardens. The home is so spacious and clean. Bobby and Vathsala are wonderful hosts. They were very cooperative and understanding of our needs and worked with us to make our stay all the more enjoyable.
The living room is large with plenty of seating and kids enjoyed watching movies on the projector. The dining was large enough to accomodate our party and a toddler table and high chairs for our little ones. The kitchen is large and very well equiped. They had everything we needed for our self catering meals. There are six spacious and very comfortable bedrooms all with their own bathrooms. The green space around the house is so beautiful. We didn't have time to make the most of the outside, but our kids did enjoy walking around and going down to the river. There are tables and chairs on the front porch which we enjoyed for sitting outside at night and also we had a family celebration outside.
The house is in close proximity to all attractions in South Wales. There was so much to see and do within 1-1.5hr drives.
I would highly recommend Vijay Gardens for a family/group holiday.

Another lovely family break at this fantastic property. Fully kitted out, plenty of space inside and surrounding the house with a river running alongside. Owners are very accommodating and helpful. We have already booked our next trip there. Very relaxing and and peaceful location.
