Just spent the last weekend at Jaani’s place in Ffarmers. We had read the reviews at first on here and Airbnb and were apprehensive at first, BUT what a weekend we had. Yes there are some home comforts you'd miss like with any camping experience but the whole point is to leave that at the door when you venture out. Jaani had left tea lights and inscents in our tents and made it feel soo homely. She was lovely and friendly and super helpful, then left us to enjoy the weekend the way we planned to, only popping out to check we were ok very occasionally. I slept incredibly well in the bed as did the others and I’ll speak for everyone when I say it was the best weekend ever. Thanks so much Jaani.

My husband arranged a weekend away here with our family and friends for my 30th birthday in August. It was brilliant- the site is beautifully put together- we slept so well each night (including the under 2's!), the beds were so comfy, and despite it being the hottest weekend of the year, it was nice and breezy in the teepee tents. There wasn't a single thing we needed- everything was easily available despite it being off the grid. The hot tub was a highlight- we used it every day of our trip. Everyone had a wonderful time and only had good things to say about Janni and Belle Glamping. We would love to visit again one day, and we highly recommend it. Thank you so much for having us!!!!!

Had a great time , very rural , really back to nature. Don’t come if your expecting hotel luxury. Fully equipped rustic kitchen everything you need) all clean. Toilet is a compost loo. Yes I did eventually embrace that. Our 2 small grandchildren loved it. Running and playing in a very secure environment. Sheep are your alarm clock !! . Jani is very lovely, showing us everything, she gave us space to enjoy ourselves. She saw us each day to ask if all was ok ,we had a campfire each night and this was so much fun. We had a cowboy night too. We made great memories. All my family loved the rustic feel to our adventure. It’s very rural and a good drive down to access the area. Amazing for walkers. We bought our 2 dogs, who pattered about the safe area which is fully fenced etc. Jani has 2 lovely dogs. She keeps them away, but once a day they came in had a run and said hello this is because her own cottage is a few yards from the field and her dogs are part of her family it was not a problem, I’m sure if your uneasy with dogs you may consider this. The tents are clean & cosy , with wooden burners that take off the nights cold air.

Amazing glamping site and perfect for a week away in the wilderness. Highly recommended if you’re happy to not have all your creature comforts. The host is lovely, very helpful and welcoming.

So many issues for our group in such a short stay. Covid has been a hard year for everyone but I'm sorry please avoid this place. We got sick staying here. Unsanitary, overpriced and an overly involved and controlling host.

Whether you quibble over whether the site is her front garden or a separate "field" it is 50 meters from the house. The screens advertised are partial. You can see the house and the people in it can see you when you are using the kitchen and bathroom facilities.

The site set up worked well for a group of 8 people who knew each other. How you could have 6 different groups of people here totalling treble that is beyond me with the facilities. We struggled to cook for 8 in the same group in a small kitchen with a gas oven that had 2 settings "on" or "off". There is a single sink to wash up at which also is the same sink for hand washing after the loo.

The compost loo is overly complicated. I have camped in several places and used many compost loos this was ironically one of the most unhygienic and full of flies.

Hygiene issues continued with Jani's brother chosing to dispose of the urine soaked toilet tissue by setting fire to it right next to the outdoor dining table where we were seated one morning.

Jani asked us early on if we were ok with dogs, we were, with several of us being dog owners ourselves we said of course. We did not expect this to mean that several times the dogs would run around the camp unsupervised and jump up at us. While Jani was preoccupied one of her dogs urinated on a tee pee and took a poo near it. We had to point this out to her and ask her to clear her dogs mess up. Unhygenic and completely unacceptable.

Jani was adamant that the hot tub water got changed regularly but I would dispute this as it smelled rancid and was not clear to look at. The log burner that heats it is slow to work and getting the temperature reliably over 40 is hard. I used the tub once at night which I regretted when I saw and smelled it the next day.

Perhaps unsuprisingly given some of the hygiene issues above several of our party got sick with diarrhoea and vomiting during our weekend which was miserable for those unwell and somewhat spoilt a much anticipated hen weekend.
Many of us are seasoned glampers / campers and for some even wild camping. We are women in our 30s who know how to wash our hands and cook properly but we got sick here and I strongly believe that unsanitary site conditions were to blame.

The other big drawback is the host herself. She was unable to leave us to enjoy ourselves. Some could generously describe her interferance as well meaning but it is in fact more reflective of her pathological need to control things.

I was the last of my party to arrive for a hen do. I expected to find my friends drinking fizz and having fun. Instead everyone was standing around being lectured by our "host" on how to use a compost loo (some of the guests had arrived early to set up and were hearing the same prolonged induction for the 3rd time!)
There needs to be a site manual emailed round prior to people's arrival to avoid this situation.
Despite the thorough induction we received regular reminders  throughout our short stay often interrupting the flow of our celebrations. We also had what could be best described as dormitory inspections of our tee pees before we left.

Ironically when we raised concerns about the hot tub Jani immediately became defensive and stated there had never been issues before and was unable to engage in constructive dialogue or listen to any kind of feedback.

It gets 1star because the shower was hot and decent which was very appreciated after a day of vomiting and diarrhoea.

Okay, so where do I start I think I shall start with the Pros first but please stick around for the whole review there are only a few pros (PLEASE READ)

It was my god mothers 50th birthday she loves being in nature and is very environmentally conscious so when I was showed this place I was very exited for her and my family to be together again.

Pros >>>> The place is set in stunning surroundings and the kitchen is cute. The stars that you will see (if you are lucky enough to get a clear night) wow, I have never seen stars like it! so beautiful!

That was it for me unfortunately, The host was very very overwhelming and very intense , She was always there doing things at the camp going into tents and really being quite bossy and rude. We didn't get one hour with out her being there at the fire or fussing with our clothes. There are so many rules its quite hard to keep track if there are more than a few and you don't all arrive at the same time for her to go through them with you. I would recommend for them to place it all in a booklet as a welcome pack in each of the bell tents. It's very run down! It needs a lot of cleaning in places especially in the caravan, It is very cluttered and not like the images online . My sister and I had no bed that was ok as there was the caravan and so we thought since it come with the rental then there would be no harm in using it we found a blanket and used that, Well we had a row for that apparently its ok to sit in there for as long as you want but sleeping is forbidden and not only that we had used a dirty blanket (I can say that we wasn't best pleased about it either but we didn't complain) and since that broke covid rules she said because it didn't have a cover and she was very upset that she will have to wash it now. (it was STICKING lucky my sister did have a little thin blanket of her own on top of her first) However we had been told that the fluffy blankets on the end of the beds had not been washed on arrival and they have no covers? But people do not use blankets to put on your body so she said, they are to put over your duvet and never on your body apparently I even got asked "Well how do you use your blankets" I replied on my body? After a very heated argument about a duvet that she has to wash because we had the audacity to use it, it was in the caravan like... I left a day early. Don't go if you want to relax but if you want to learn how to become eco even down to the way you use the toilet because there is a system to that and even if you're on the toilet she will ask you to do something in regards to the camp if you don't care about a bit of grubbiness (I had a rash on my cheek from a pillow I used) then yeah this is the place for you, I saw in the old post that this used to be a nice place but also saw a more recent review with more or less word for word same as this (written much better than I have). So I feel like there needs to be a lot of work done and maybe the hosts needs to chill out people work hard to pay for trips away I and don't need to say why these are important more than ever.
also the clay pigeon shooting is not fun so listen to. I feel if these issues are addressed then this would be lovely but it has lots of work to be done first.

This place is a perfect glamping experience! Don't come if you're expecting a 5* hotel experience but come for a well looked after campsite/garden with well looked after bell tents and a very eco toileting and water system. Perfect and trusted host with the most lovely labradors!! I'm only on day one too 😁

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING THIS ACCOMMODATION!
I have recently left an honest review on Airbnb regarding this glamping site. The host has left a very defensive response which contain several unsubstantiated untruths.
My initial public review was reasonable and tempered down as I appreciate this business is someone’s livelihood. I privately messaged the owner with several issues I didn’t think she would want made public (and I won’t make them public here either) in the hope that these issues might be addressed for subsequent clients who may not be as understanding and reasonable as myself. Other members of my party may also not be so understanding.
This glamping site is not as it is portrayed in the photos and description. Please think very carefully (and read all the reviews-good and bad) before you book. It is a complete rip-off.
