Use Acorn Timber when Wickes delivery service let me down, will now be using more often! Excellent, friendly and helpful service. Huge amount of stock which they will cut to size for a small fee, making it easy to transport and handle.

New to the area, and starting diy jobs in our new home I discover Acorn trading just down the road from me. Never gone dire to to a timber merchant before, and now will only use a timber merchant. The service is excellent from these guys, Roger always quick to reply with a quote by email, and everyone from the lads in the yard to the lady behind the counter, all really friendly. They also delivery for a small fee and can cut the wood to size if needed, nothing is too much bother.

Avoid. An Acorn Timber truck just pushed ahead of me, turning into a narrow road, and then stopped blocking the road completely. I suggested that this was very inconsiderate and got back a rant about bicycles. Choose timber deliveries from a company with better drivers.

Purchased all my timber and several other items for my new shed, extremely helpful at all times, great products and great value for money!

I required a variety of timber in various sizes with some irregular finishes. Everyone was most helpful and took special care to ensure they achieved the end result I requested. I was delighted with the end result, but more to the point the friendliness of the staff and their help made me feel comfortable about making my request, receiving only 'yeses'. Thank you.

Delivering timber to them and found them very rude. I was told I should not be in the yard!! I could not see anyone from the road for assistance so what am I supposed to do and then they made me wait. I do not recommend using them on the basis of there attitude.

Great products, really good prices, and staff are always really helpful. Far better than any of the big brand suppliers in my experience.
