I got charged a Network fee to use paypoint in this Newsagent on my way home from the Train Station just to put gas onto my keycard, I thought the man who served me was joking as I have never been charged anywhere before, NOT HAPPY, as I used to love this small shop that has a good range of magazines & newspapers, plus chocolates, crisps, snacks & much more, but until I find out if this fee is correct, I will NEVER use this place again!

I would not recommend this newsagent as they have a policy of charging 20p for using any of their services which 'use the internet'. Consequently card payments or using the PayPoint costs 20p. Not only is this a highly off-putting practice but making a charge for card payments (however they disguise it) is unlawful. Also, they don't accept credit cards at all.

Disappointing experiences trying to send parcels at this newsagent. Having tried sending parcels 3 or 4 times over the last 2 years I have never been able to do so. Either the internet has been 'broken' or the shop assistant has misunderstood how the service works.

With zero success rate, I shan't be trying again in future.

Fantastic down to earth staff, super friendly and respectful with an awesome sense of humour ( a trait that is lost in family run business's these days) thank you for welcoming me to the area

I took a UPS parcel here, but unfortunately they said they couldn’t take it because their boss had told them it would be too big.

When I asked what the maximum size they were able to take were, they didn’t know.

After asking where else I could take it, after initially being told they didn’t know, they did suggest another place - which I then called and they have said they could take it.

Apparently the boss has put the information on the website, but they couldn’t tell me which website or where on the UPS site it was - which was particularly unhelpful.

I have given one star as they did come up with some other suggestions after prompting.

Please just make this information very clear - even on the window would be a start, and then make sure your employees are very clear on this information too, so they are able to assist. Unfortunately in this instance it just made them look really unhelpful and unknowledgeable, which I’m sure they aren’t, so it’s very unfair on them.

They always try to falsely charge you for your items by adding £1/2 every time. I bought 4 items all costing a £1 and they tried to charge me £6.50.
Won’t ever be going back there. There’s a shop called parade mart 3 shops down which is a lot better.
