Skinners Newsagent And Post Office

The post-office and store staff are simply some of the nicest people we have ever met. We moved here 2 years ago and they do everything they can to help us as neighbours. If they notice anyone working at our house, they check with us to ensure we approved it, they keep an eye on our house and car if we’re away and they are just PERFECT gentlemen. Recently when posting a Christmas parcel and there was a huge queue, they insisted I put the parcel down when I got in store to avoid having to carry it until I reached the front of the queue. They are always so friendly and genuinely interested in us as customers and I would 10/10 recommend their service!

This is a really helpful local shop. I have been using it for years and have always felt very lucky to have such a friendly local store and post office in my area.( there are a minority of some strange negative reviews here which are very misleading) . All I can say is a big Thank you to the lovely the people of Skinners - who continue to put themselves out for their customers in such difficult times!

Have offered great service during lockdown to some very demanding & unreasonable customers. The lady above who left a poor review wanted to post 70 parcels notwithstanding there was a long queue a long the main road & they politely asked her to limit the number posted daily .You can draw cash up to the limit on your card which is handy.

The store has everything you need to get you through the day and more!

I cannot believe the staff at this branch. I would rate them a 0 if I could.

My heavily pregnant wife (7 and half months) has just been shouted at in the street by the staff members here. I would say this is a rare occurrence but it looks like they have a history of being hostile, rude and offensive to customers. She was refused a parcel for collection and ended up leaving, as she left the postmaster shouted at her that he was just going to send it back out of spite, she cried.

Do not shop here, do not get parcels delivered here, avoid at all costs.

Staff are very patient and kind, the queue is also not long. The Post Office is situated at a convenient location, especially if you are on Upper Richmond Road!

Excellent service. I used them several times when buying online during lockdown. Obviously in current situation, people have to queue outside (1 queue for post office, 1 for shop). Some people appear to jump the queue, but it generally works. Staff were efficient and friendly.
