Whitechapel Bell Foundry

This is an incredibly underrated attraction in London. The tours are booked out months in advance but well worth the wait. The premises offer a unique insight into bell production and the ups and downs of a very historic business.

A historic manufacturer based just outside the City of London. Bells like Big Bell and the Liberty bell were casted at the foundry. The show rooms and museums are opened during the day and if it is a warm day the public can look inside the main workshop from the pavement outside. There are also tour available at the weekend but these do book up a long time in advance.

A wonderful experience to visit the place where our bells were cast in 1802 and learn how they were made. It will be a sad day when the foundry leaves the premises but long may the business continue.

Great tour, what a shame it is closing, I really hope they find new premises and continue trading.

Family run bell factory which made the bells for london tourist attraction BIG BEN and other iconic places. There is also a mini museum inside which is free to walk in and view. Worth the vist if your into heritage and history

Even at night. It’s just so nice and unique.You’ll be amazed on the historical building and its features.
