Blackwater Meadow Marina

We booked a 1 day hire of Lazy Days online not knowing anything about canal boating. When we arrived we were greeted by lovely friendly staff only too happy to explain everything and help in any way we needed. Our three grandchildren aged 8,7 & 4 were fitted with life aids prior to us going on to the boat. (although these were not compulsory) A lovely lady came onto the boat with us and showed us around explaining how to use the chemical toilet and the cooker. The fridge was stocked with milk and there was plenty of tea and coffee provided. Everything had been thought out, bathroom had fresh soap and hand towel, kitchen had washing up bowl, liquid and tea towel. Hung up was another 2 life aids and 2 rain macks in case we needed them. We were really impressed on how well equipped the boat was. The guys helped take the boat out of the marina and we were on our way. There were seven of us in total and we all had an amazing day. It far exceeded our expectations and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Blackwater Meadow Marina for anyone looking for a day of fun for the whole family.

This is for the accommodation. Lovely apart from water pressure in shower and no washing machine. Lovely being near boats. You feel like you are really in middle of nowhere!

Started out holiday from here. The staff couldnt have been more helpful. We had a problem which they fixed pretty quickly and without fuss. The marina itself is close to the centre of Ellesmere, which is beautiful little town and well worth visiting.

Great place to hire a narrow boat, friendly and helpful staff who made use feel that we were in good hands from the start.

ABC boat hire are very friendly and helpful they all ways make you feel happy and safe I would definitely recommend them

Fabulous canal boats here..to hire and privately owned..very friendly staff in the shop..

If you want a nice Sunday afternoon walk then you can't beat a canal walk.This walk is good because it's on the flat and there's always plenty to see.Theres always something going on,colourful barges are moored up,some are moving up the canal and there's always friendly and funny folk about.Its also great for dog walkers.The carpark is near Tesco and that will be the start of your walk.

Arranged an engine service for our boat last Wednesday. On arrival, the engineer was off sick!
But, no problem. The young man on duty, completed the service and fuelled us up, with a smile. Same with the service from the young lady in the office. A friendly and efficient place. Well done. Highly recommended.
