Lee is the most friendly instructor I think I have ever had. Lee is extremely capable and a very natural martial artist and a great and patient instructor. His classes have a great vibe and you feel right at home very quickly. Kick boxing classes have a great dynamic and meet the requirements of all levels. Mixed / Self defence are a constantly evolving and interesting set of skills that keeps me going back time after time. I've done a wide variety of martial arts and this club is probably my favourite of all of them. Lee is also fantastic with the kids. His junior kick boxing looks like great fun.

CDA is just what I was looking for in a club after a lay off from martial arts of nearly 20 years. Lee is a great instructor and makes you feel at home straight away. Everyone is very friendly and the training is very varied and interesting.

Kids classes are great too, i have also started taking my 6 year old on a Saturday morning and he loves it!

My son has been going to CDA for around 3yrs and has not only progressed far more than expected in his kickboxing but also made some great friends. Lee, (the instructor) is very friendly and passionate about martial arts, making the classes fun while the kids are training.
If you want to get your kids into martial arts or just get them a bit more active then I highly recommend taking them to CDA.

Both my children started at CDA around two years ago. It is very good for fitness training, discipline and they still really enjoy it. Lee and his team are friendly and good-humoured which makes the whole experience a lot of fun. Although we've now moved home, and live quite some distance from the gym, we continue to go because it's such a great set-up. I can thoroughly recommend CDA.

My son has been going to CDA for 4 years and it's brilliant for him. Lee is very patient and firm but fun; he's a great role model. As well as the fantastic progress my son has made with martial arts, the classes have improved his concentration and developed a sporting attitude. The extras such as squad training and Jedi school are also excellent and my son's Ninjas birthday party was a big hit. The club combines individual nurture, high expectations, high quality instruction and fun, and I would recommend it 100%.

We have tried other Karate, Martial Arts amd sports clubs. This one shines out from all of the others. The coaches are all excellent. They are fun but fair and the kids absolutely love them.

Took a 6 year old girl to her first free taster class on a Monday evening. First impressions were that it was easy to park, a clean welcoming environment and the trainers were very friendly and encouraging. Watched the session (held upstairs), on the monitors, from the downstairs seating area, where there were tables and Wi-Fi available. 6 year old looked engaged and happy throughout and was very kindly looked out for, by a very friendly 7 year old girl. She was also delighted to be presented with a certificate for being "Awesome in her first class", which was a lovely touch. All in all, a very positive experience and she can't wait to go back :)

I've been bringing my 3.5 y.o. son here for a few months now. We typically aim for one 30m session a week. Not only do we enjoy it for the small sense of accomplishment it provides going into the weekend, but I've seen noticeable improvements in his listening skills, attentiveness, coordination, and balance.

While children have plenty of energy, 30 minute sessions are just right for children in this age range while they learn to focus on a single task for an extended period of time. I'm sure they could all continue running, jumping, and kicking until they exhausted themselves, but between 15-30 minutes they begin to lose focus. That said, I've noticed that where my son would initially only engage for the first half of class, he will now happily remain attentive and receptive to instruction for the full half hour.

The staff are friendly and welcoming. Helen and Ben are superb at engaging the children with enthusiasm.

Communication regarding the subscription membership has also been fair and and timely.

I'd certainly recommend CDA as a fun way to boost your child's confidence, attentiveness, and coordination.
