We booked for my elderly father to receive 3 meals this week. Day 1 was fine although slightly late which we put down to being new customers. Day 2 was over an hour late and Day 3 didn't turn up at all. I spoke to iCare who said their driver had broken down and was running late (which is fair enough) and that he would deliver the food later. The meal wasn't delivered and subsequent calls to iCare were not answered and messages not replied to. My father was left with no hot dinner and no explanation or call to say why. Awful service.

Shocking service. Food cold on arrival. Very small portions. Ordering system not OAP friendly. Though we would trial for 1 week. Found it quite expensive for what you get. If you love/care for someone use a different method of providing ‘hot’ meals to those in need. I have just got off the phone to cancel the remaining 2 days as there is Covid in the property which there has been since day 1, hence help being required, and they have refused to take food into house and want to leave it outside on the doorstep! Care workers, district nurse etc all enter the property with PPE on but not this company.

Been trialling this company for a few weeks but we have not had a happy experience overall, we have had meals not delivered because of computer glitches, meals coming extremely late (lunch arrived for my mother at 3.40pm today), and we were only aware of this because we started calling them at 2.15pm to find out when her meal would be coming, there was no warning call from them to let us know of this extreme delay. My mother had breakfast at 8.30 am and it’s an awfully long time to wait, a family member could have helped her out if only we had had the courtesy of a call earlier. On the other hand they can come really early, 10.50am a few days ago. Delivery times are inconsistent, food can be delivered not warm enough but they don’t advise reheating! We have also had the wrong meals delivered too, she had cottage pie delivered two days running which wasn’t what was expected or ordered. So if you want the meals you ordered to be delivered at a fairly regular time then this is probably not the company you should use. Sadly, in our experience, a very poor service.

My mum has been receiving meals for almost twelve months and despite them sometimes arriving a little later than we'd have liked in the first few weeks it's a very good and very useful service. Food arrives hot and is a very good quality. Only thing I'd say is it would be nice to have the selection of meals changed occasionally. I've been ordering from the same selection since late last year! Thank you.

I order every month for my mother, I hate the ordering process its a nightmare, but I think that has more to do with me lol, yes we have had some moments because of covid but they always keep me informed, I work in a vaccination centre so I do understand with current problems, there is a lady called Shirley who is a absolute diamond and is always helpful and so lovely, she is a absolute credit to your company. My mom has dementia and Ms and this has been a lifeline for me as I know my mom will get a hot meal x
