Being a single female and knowing nothing about cars, I am always wary about being 'ripped off', but no worries here. The electronic handbrake on my discovery was repaired at a most reasonable price and the car was returned lovely and clean. A personal service, highly recommended and I know where I'll be going in future!

Brought my ford transit here due to DPF blockage , the work was carried out without a price given first. The bill was just short of £500 for it to be cleaned which in my eyes was daylight robbery .When questioned about it they /he became very aggressive and said the van would stay with him until I payed. When I payed i was specifically told the issue was resolved however 1 week later engine management light came on again so returned it to a different garage who told me DPF was blocked and whoever said they cleaned it had not done it properly I again had to have the DPF cleaned and was charged £180 and the van now runs without fault .If I can say one thing and you are a customer contemplating going to this place then be strongly advised that my experience is one of the worst I've ever had .Avoid this place like the plague.

I broke down today with my exhaust pipe snapping off. I called the garage to see what could be done. I managed to get to the garage which was less than 1 mile away. to be greeted with a smile and helping hands within 15 mins my van had been repaired and i could continue with my deliveries. definitely a life saver. thank you so much. excellent and professional. highly recommended

Friendly team! I took my car in to find out what was wrong with my air con and to get it fixed. I had an idea of what it might be from my mechanic. The fault was diagnosed and recommendations made. As the pricing was beyond my budget, I asked to be billed so I could return when ready. I felt the charge for diagnosing the problem was high and there was insufficient transparency/certainty on the quote provided. For this reason, they drop two stars.

Called to ask if they offered mobile mechanic service after breaking down but unfortunately they didn't. However, Simon talked the problem through with me and within 5 minutes helped me get the car going again (it is worth saying that another mechanic I had contacted and described the same problem too advised me to not attempt to do anything, and he could recover the car tomorrow morning).
Service and MOT is due next month and will definitely be using Simon.
Thanks again for your help.

From personal experience I can highly recommend S.Young Autos. It is a very reliable and trustworthy business that will go that extra mile to help you. As a female car owner with very little knowledge of car mechanics I feel completely at ease in leaving my car here for service or repairs, knowing that the workmanship will be of the best quality and with honest assessments of what needs to be done.

Had our washer repaired and very grateful. 1 star is for lack of transparency. Asked to book in as we were unsure of the problem and wanted a mechanic to look (I said we thought it was the motor which it wasn't). When we rang at lunchtime to see if they'd diagnosed, they'd already done work without consulting us and the bill was more than the car is even worth. We understand the confusion but would have appreciated a conversation before conducting work. Lesson learnt, ensure that we ask for consultation before work is confirmed.

My vehicle was booked in for a service, brakes etc, the in once was just shy of £1000 which included a thimble full of screen wash for £4.
When the car was returned to me it had dashboard trim damage and a dent in the nearside sill caused by the wrong use of a jack which also damaged the factory underseal.
I pointed this out to the garage owner who agreed to get it repaired, over two months later I received a message to the effect that the repair would take up to three days and a courtesy car would not be provided .
This was useless as l live miles from anywhere and rely totally on my car ,I offered them an alternative in the way of paying me reasonable compensation but heard nothing .
It's my opinion that as they caused the damage they should fix it at no inconvenience to me.
The treatment I've had has been shody ,unprofessional and I will not be using their services in the future
And shall be seeking legal advice.
I explained that I had taken photos of the car prior to the service and no damage was showing plus the dashboard damage was caused I think by replacing the pollen filter.
I am well aware of the condition of my car and spot and check for damage after work has been done ,there has been a further problem with the repairs since picking the car up but I've fixed that myself.
