Waited almost 2 hours to get my blood test results back via phone. I hung up when it reached 2 hours as it is ridiculous to be waiting that long on the phone to only then be told “a doctor will call you back”. Absolutely disgusting!! E-consult doesn’t even have the option for blood test results either. You people need to get your receptionists to do their jobs!!

On Wednesday the 28th July my mother had to call the doctors for me to try and make an appointment
(I have tonsillitis and lost my voice) for the following week.

She was informed that you cannot make appointments in advance and that I (with no voice) would have to call on the day I want the appointment.

In any event the information that my mum would not be able to make an appointment led us to the 111 service and eventually I ended up in A&E that day.

I was assessed, (quite dehydrated as I had been unable to eat or drink) and was given spray to numb the throat pain and antibiotics.

I think in short, even phone consult by the GP, a bit of pragmatism would have gone a long way.

The current way of making an appointment seems to be a very convoluted/ineffective way for booking appointments.

Most people need to plan to take off work to go to the doctors.( It helps to know in advance what day that is.)

In some cases a telephone consultation would suffice

Horrible medical centre. They should be closed. I called 3 times this morning, for a prescription, as I am in pain. My last call was 1h and 30 mins. When finally arrived to nr1, they pick up and straight hang up the phone. Helpdesk workers rude and arrogants. They asking your problem, which is not right. They should not. You share information only with doctors. All you experience with them is humiliation and frustration. Unfortunately since covid they became worst. Whatever, this surgery alway being a rubbish.

AVOID! I can't believe this surgery is still trading, staff are rude....you will be very lucky to even get an appointment. Phone lines constantly engaged or cut off whilst in a queue.
WORST surgery in Ashford, best off going straight to a&e, this surgery practice should be absoultely ashamed.....no care towards general public and their medical needs!

Been trying to get a sick note for 4 days after having surgery for metal plate removal, carpal tunnel and tendonitis, the e consult doesn't work, the NHS app just says unavailable and whenever I get near the end of the que (normally starts at 50) on the phone it just cuts off!!!

Woefully inadequate. Cannot get an appointment for love nor money. E-Consult is claimed to be only open for 2 hour window, but closes sooner, even though 2 hours is already ridiculous. Cannot get through on phone lines as you’re number 50 something in the queue.

Cannot book any non-urgent appointments. Have to fight from 8am in the hope of securing an appointment later that day. Only retired folk and the like can spend all morning on speed dial whereas the rest of us are getting kids to school and going to work.

Quality of care if you do secure a phone appointment is poor with default of issuing antibiotics

Letters sent by consultants requesting course of action ignored.

Patients are seen as a nuisance, not customers.

Just fed up with the poor service so have registered the family with a new surgery.

disgustingly poor service. run out of e-consults within 10 minutes despite supposedly being open for 2 hours, phone call only despite needing to be seen in person, and addictive painkillers prescribed without even being called beforehand. ridiculous. and the receptionists are nice enough but act like they're the bouncers of the nhs

Paul at the practice is absolutely amazing. I have dealt with him for myself and my son and everytime he is so kind caring and patient and does everything he can to help. Cannot fault his professionalism and patient centred care practice.
