Always a warm welcome from reception team and they acknowledge you as you leave.
Yes sometimes there may be a wait to be seen despite having an appointment but this I think just goes to show how the Dr or Nurse take you and your reason for going there serious and don't try to rush you to get you in and out in the alloted appointment time.
Both the Dr and Nurse I feel listen to you and takes your concerns very seriously and your thoughts on your treatment and medications.

Beechwood Medical Centre is a wonderful practice that I will personally recommend to anyone that needs a personable service.

The Doctor is a professional to the core and would accord everyone the deserved respect and care. he is caring and is full of empathy whist attending to patients I have been with Beechwood for more than 13 years of satisfaction and I cannot point to a single incident when I had been dissatisfied with their services.
Even when I had to see a locum, they have been immensely helpful without leaving any room for a complaint.

There have been times that I had to leave a call back message for the Doctor and he would usually call back as requested. This Doctor would always listen attentively and recommend the best options to you. I have been with Doctors who would chat with me in a friendly way but dismiss my concerns but this has not been my experience at Beechwood Medical Centre.

I have read with consternation, some of the reviews on this platform and whilst i appreciate that those things that are mechanical, eg an app usage can leave room for dissatisfaction, the complaint about Dr Nathans personality cannot but be far from the truth as the man is a workaholic who does his best in the interest of the patients.

My most recent experience is a pointer to his pro activeness because rather than wasting time on recurrent prescriptions that would not work, he promptly refereed me to Homerton hospitals where I could have the necessary test run.

As for the staff, I have never seen them being rude to anyone. rather, the reverse had been my experience. i have seen several patients who had behaved as if they owned the people at the surgery and were rude. Rather than being upset, the staff had always found a way of defusing anger and remaining calm in the face of provocation and I sense that this could only be achieved via training as they are human too.

I have always left the surgery with a smile on my face after attending my appointment and I thank the whole staff for running the Surgery the way they do.

Slow moving, doesn't answer the phone and are generally disorganised. I brought in some forms for the Doctor's signature over a month ago. After not receiving them back, I rang a month later. I called everyday for a week, until someone finally picked up. They told me that they hadn't seen the forms that i'd brought in but that the receptionist would find them and bring ensure they were sent off that week. One week later, I ring again to ask what progress has been made. None. Still not even found them. The Care Quality Commission needs to investigate this medical practice.

This place has gone down hill in recent years. Using covid as an excuse for all sorts of things. You are on the phone for a 1 minutes and 41 seconds before you are even placed in a que. All that talking before you are placed in the que is really time consuming. Either get someone to explain it faster or completely get rid of it. If someone is on a break or is calling on credit they won't get very far because of this woman talking so slow. One you get through and try and make an appointment they want to slap with you need to go online and book an appointment with patient access. (Mine don't work since September 2021) I just need to book an appointment to see my doctor, looks like I've got to go a&e to get seen by someone.

The nurse is an apathetic, nasty person.
We were late (10 minutes) for an appointment and explained we're going away and needed to get my baby daughter immunised urgently before we go and there are no other appointments available. She didn't care and wouldn't give us 5 minutes of her time. The receptionists on the other hand were very helpful what a shame for them.
Enjoy your karma lady!

I have been a patient of this medical centre for a long time and I have to admit that lately things are changed for the worst. The staff is often rude and always give the Impression that they don't care at all about any patient (most of them). Especially on this pandemic period they have become even more careless and always try a short way to not kindly deal with any patient who call or pop in in the medical centre. I have been forced to call multiple times just to get basic information regarding my health and everytime I have been dismissed very quickly and not even given the right information required unless I specifically asked for them.
I really hope they will be back at the great level they used to be.

Dr Ibe Nathans is a nice guy and does a fine job as far as I'm concerned. Unfortunately the reception and workflow around getting appointments is so bad and unreliable that I can't recommend the practice. You'd think they would have some sort of queueing / schedule system but they just have this terrible call up and hope for a response workflow. Unfortunately this sort of really matters in a practice when you're sick and have limited time around work etc. Moreover with all the reviews here you would think they would wisen up but they just seem indifferent...

today I was in BC and needed help with apointment online and came across a wonderful team of miss.Jona and mr.Marius who were very professional and friendly helped with everything so all praise for them.It is very nice to come and meet such staff because when is a man sick then every nice word helps him. Also all praise for Dr. Nathan. The rest of the staff should look up to these two people. And the management should reward Miss Jon and Mr. Marius because they are always there to help. I changed that bad review and added this one because I came out with a smile today! Thank you!
