Over the years they’ve been ok, but the phone system has always been terrible. On this occasion though, it took far too long to be seen by a doctor, apparently you have to see two nurses and a paramedic before it’s deemed serious enough, and then when I got through to the apathetic doctor I was prescribed something that was unavailable in any chemist in Northampton. These things happen, but they then make you wait an indefinite amount of time for a new prescription, so let’s hope it’s nothing that serious..

Rang at 8am this morning. Told would get a phone call back. They sent a text at 4pm to say they tried to call (they never) - when I called back they said because I never answered I’m removed from the list and have to call again tomorrow to completely rebook resulting in having to call 111 instead. Moving surgeries without a doubt they have been useless for years now

If I could I would give these guys no stars. I’ve only got as far as the reception desk as I rarely need to see a dr, but they are so rude!!!!! It’s like you shouldn’t go in, I needed some paper work done and they were just so rude. Even trying to get an appointment the simple answer is “there’s not appointments available”. My advice stay away from this surgery till they get some staff with some manners

Some of the receptionist are very rude and looking for the names of the patients who togive An appointment and who does not . The Doctors are very hardworking but we need some of the receptionist to be removed. They don't represent the diversity of this country.

Recently had a nurse Louisa came to my home to measure me for compression stockings because I have lymphoedema. She came on 6th September said hear from them soon 18th October still waiting for them. After many phone calls to this surgery because they NEVER returned phone calls when they said they would I was only asking the nurse to let the measurements known to me or the company who were making the compression stockings only to find they would not do this. I find the receptionist there very rude and unprofessional and not at all helpful what a waist of time it all has become no wonder the nhs is struggling for a nurse to spend 3 hours in my home and I am still left with swollen legs and feet not able too put on my shoes on shame on you Abington park surgery SHAME ON YOU David Manning I notice you haven’t replied to this review yet don’t suppose you ever will SHAME ON YOU hope you do I will keep looking.December finally got my compression stockings only because I had a nurse who was more professional in what he was doing thank you daventry nurses thank you.

The surgery needs to get you phone service updated. Firstly the phone lines are closed when the surgery is open. Secondly, why do we keep getting cut off when we get to 1st place in the queue. Thirdly, the computer system needs some looking into. The prescription hasn't been sent over to the pharmacy. Please update out details on the system.
Finally, the receptionist needs to be giving people the correct prescription. Giving someone else's prescription, especially for a toddler is completely unacceptable. You may potentially kill someone with your negligence!!!

Shocking experience over the last few days. Have called a number of times trying to get an appointment only to be told my call is important and 25 mins later they say they cannot take your call and cut you off. Then you are told not to go to reception to make appointments.
Why are the shutting at 4 pm according to the website.
Come on sort this out patients deserve better than this.

I can't get repeated prescription without talking to a nurse/gp what is impossible - I've been trying 2 weeks to call the surgery and nothing - most of the time you need to listed to automathed info then at the end "I'm sorry your call can not be taken at the moment please try another time" or you're placed in the queue only to be switched off later anyway. Sending emails has no sense at all.
