I have been a patient at the Forest Practise from it's inception and have always benefitted from great care. Most recently, 15/09/20 due to Coronavirus restrictions, I emailed a photo and text of a potential problem on my leg to my GP using the askmyGP service. I was astounded to receive a phone call within two hours of me sending the email. The GP decided that it would be best for me to see a specialist dermatologist and an appointment was made for me to see one within two weeks of the initial email. Since then a number of consultations and procedures have taken place all within three months.

I cannot give enough thanks for the initial service from the Forest Practise both for their speed of response and help at putting me into the right hands in order for the correct medical treatment to deal with the problem at hand.

Doctors and nurse’s they’re very nice, but most of the receptionist are very rude and terrible and irresponsible. I think Forest Practice needs to change them for improving their service. They open their ask my GP online service only for 20 minutes 08:00-08:20. Even they didn’t want to listen anything when I called for requesting for asking blood test. Maybe it’s important not for them, but it’s important to me. Worst receptionist.

My experiences with this gp have been the worst, and i'm not one to write bad reviews. getting an appointment here is extremely difficult. The doctors have been okay but the receptionist have been terrible. Sometimes I try not to blame the receptionist for not always getting an appointment as there system is to blame but there has been incidents in the past where the receptionist have forgotten to give me important things that the doctor has either left or requested of me. I've had to ring up to politely askand double check if they had forgotten to give me something or if the doctor has simply left anything for me and there answer would be to go back onto ask my gp the next morning to get a doctor to contact me which is nearly impossible and inconvenient as it wastes both mine and the doctors time. The same receptionist then later found what the doctor had left for me and instead of ringing back to apologies for being rude and blunt to me, she decided to send me a message to come pick it up from the gp which meant another trip to the gp that could have been avoided.
They say ask my GP is open from 8 to 12. But it's only really open for a window of 20 mins after 8. And on some days not open at all.
Also upon my first ever trip to the gp I was getting my bloods done and politely asked the receptionist for directions. She laughed directly at me and treated me like a child. I didn't know it was a crime to ask for directions.

I have found that over 35 years almost all reception staff and almost all doctors have been totally fantastic. If I have had a bad time with a Dr it has always been a locum and only 1 receptionist out of all I have contacted was rude.

Need to treat people with more respect. They ask you what the problem when explaining respond back rudely.
Need to have more training in how to speak with patients with care and respect.

I went to The Forest Practice to try to get an appointment asap as the app was not working so I went down there to see them face to face and the receptionist was very rude and disrespectful towards me and treated me like a child, I tried explaining that the app was not working and again she was very disrespectful she eventually managed to sort me a phone call appointment for the doctor to phone me. This morning I received a letter letting me know that I Was rude and disrespectful towards her and warning me that if I do anything like that again they are going to ban me from the practice without warnings I don't know how they keep getting away with doing this as there are so many bad reviews towards the receptionist. I also believe that this is very unacceptable towards patients

Brilliant doctors and nurses but absolutely terrible receptionist. She's rude, impatient, has a terrible attitude and an obvious lack of compassion. Quite frankly she should not be working in a doctors surgery, she's letting the whole place down.

Hard to get appointments unless you are not busy and have the ask my gp app, also the app is only available until 12.30 for requests. It takes ages to get a response back. You have to wait outside the back of the gp surgery in the cold for your appointment. If they are running late your not to know as reception is back inside.
