The receptionist are quite helpful...but a particular GP I was unfortunate to meet on the two occasions I have visited the surgery made me decide to self treat from then onwards.

Since being taken over by College Road practice and incorporating Allington Park patients they are having trouble coping.
Very unhelpful receptionists.

I booked a double appointment through your wonderful reception staff at the college road practice for two current injuries.
The doctor took less than two minutes to look at the first injury and when I mentioned the second he said I can only do one complaint at a time when I explained I had booked a double appointment he finally looked at the spinal injury for all of 4 seconds and announced the treatment for this was not available on the NHS so immediately dismissed this injury.
After telling the step on the first injury he bid me on my way.
So I brought up the spinal injury and even ask what treatment I could get if I was to pay..... Which was met with a laugh and a patronising smirk and told me to look on YouTube! Well I'm glad to see all that Medical studies going to good use.
This guy seemed to want to get me out of there as quick as possible without giving me the proper examination required. Awful unprofessional doctor

The one star is for the receptionist who I have found helpful on the very few occasions I have been there. As I’m over 80 yrs old and in great pain caused by arthritis and other ailments trying to get to see a doctor is nigh on impossible. First you have to phone the main surgery in College Road where a clinician will , if you are lucky, answer and ask you what’s wrong. Feeling like death , you tell him or her how you feel, he decides what he is going to tell the doctor. The doctor then might phone you at any time , you might have dozed off after being awake all night, so the call wakes you up, or you might be in the bathroom. Perhaps you took the doctors call and you tell the doctor your symptom once more,. The doctor will try to solve the matter by , after diagnosing you over the phone , tell you to pick up a prescription. If you are lucky, very lucky you will get an appointment for the afternoon or the next day. So there you have it - don’t be old or ill , if you live in Allington. Above all, do not have more than one problem.

Had blood test done. Its a horror! No sanitaising before and after with a silly excuse that this might affect the results, no gloves used by nurse. Frightenning. Aufull experience from start to finish. Left wondering what is this - austerity or carelessness.

Never seen a doctor and they remove medications without consult. Don't know you and made it difficult for those with mental health issues.

The staff are absolutely lovely I had the pleasure of going there for an appointment first time I had been . how lovely the staff were from reception to my appointment not one miserable face like some places I have been treated at. Please don't get me wrong I think the NHS staff work extremely hard for little pay and I thank you all for your dedication to duty but it was lovely to be greeted with a smile 😃 it just makes the experience more delightful thank you Allington clinic and G P.
