Very poor service, been trying to book a medical here for over 2 months. To constantly be told everyone is on holiday. Promised call backs when "rotas were done" and never heard anything. Then called to be told they are fully booked. I wouldn't mind but the medical I was trying to book is a paid service. Don't trust them if you have any deadlines

Receptionists usually combative and unhelpful. One doctor recently insulted me directly. Used to be a great surgery once upon a time, also marvellous GP's and supporting staff. In recent years this has disappeared. Shortest non urgent appointment I've ever been offered was 5 weeks, longest being 15 weeks.

I went there to sort out a repeat prescription for inhalers on a Friday afternoon as I was advised to do on the phone. I explained that I had 4 unused blue inhalers at home and so would prefer 2 brown rather than one of each as I hardly use the blue and I have to pay £9 per inhaler! This was noted at reception.
I was told to come back on Tuesday and pick up the inhalers from the chemist. I tried ringing the surgery on Tuesday morning to confirm this and save an unneeded journey. I fisrt rang at 8.08 am and 28 times after that. I only got through to reception 5 times, 4 of which rang for a minute and then went dead the other rang for over 8 minutes before I hung up. Eventually at 1.30pm I spoke to reception who put me through to prescriptions who cut me off. I rang again and spoke to prescription who told me that my prescription was definatley waiting to be picked up although it was for one blue and one brown, I explained again and they said they would get this changed to 2 brown. After work I drove to pick up prescription and was told it was not available until next day and that it was for one blue and one brown inhaler!
After I explained that I had been without the brown for 4 days they did one within 15 mins for me.
I will be changing surgerys due to this, they cant even sort a simple inhaler prescription out without turning it into a major time consuming and stressful episode and reception are very 'ubrupt' on the phone when they answer it. I know they are very busy but no excuse for this.

I have until recently been a patient at this surgery. In my opinion they all work extremely hard in difficult circumstances. My doctor has been Jonathan Evans who has just been brilliant. He is thorough, complete understanding and his inter personal skills exceptional.
I appreciate that we have to wait these days but the population of Blandford is rising and our needs increasing, so whilst some people have unfortunately had a disappointing experience, from my view they are all working hard for all our benefits.

I brought my friend to have her flu jab on Saturday 25th September 2021. She had an appointment at 11.07am. We arrived at 11am to find a queue of mostly elderly people all the way through the car park. Some finding it difficult to stand or walk. Thank goodness it wasn't raining. Unacceptable. Don't make so many appointments if you can't cope.

Everyone at the surgery is kind helpful and efficient. I have been a patient for less than a year. So impressed.

Dreadful Surgery. Staff are leaving in droves. Come on Doctors, nurses and all working there, don't be afraid to speak up against the questionable management. You all have a duty of care to patients. Your current ratings say it all.

It is a pity that the phones are only manned by a few people as being 15th in the queue at 8:30am is not very helpful. Now that the government has suggested that the doors are open to patients hopefully we can see a doctor when it’s necessary. Getting into Fort Knox is probably easier!!!!
