My first time having my MOT and service with inchcape. Service was brilliant,
I had rented a car for the day from them which was great as I don’t live in that area. I was called a couple of times throughout the day to let me know how things were going so I could get back on time without hanging around. All in all great service.

Poor… despite dropping the car off at the arranged 10am.. I received no call throughout the day- until I rang in at 16:30 to see what was happening. Despite having told the service handler multiple times- anything that should be required or nearly needing done, should be done. I come to pick up my car with 2 advisory front tyres! I’m fairly sure the car had its oil change in about 5 minutes- the video of the inspection, not only incredibly brief- was sent to me after I picked up the car! Absolutely appalled that I will need to book in my car once again I have the tyres changed

*** BUYER BEWARE ***

I walked into Chelmsford ‘MINI’ and bought a mini at the end of December last year. I discovered 6 months later the car hadn’t been serviced since 2018. I bought the car in Dec 2021. It turns out apparently I wasn’t sold an approved used mini. I was sold an approved used INCHCAPE car. Apparently a car without a full service history meets their standards for selling a vehicle. Totally misleading and completely stuffed me. Given me a full service as a sorry but the vehicle remains a part service history vehicle. Utterly disgraceful and I completely believe I was mis-sold a car. Walking into a MINI main dealer apparently doesn’t guarantee you buying a car with a full service history or an approved used MINI. Left with a bitter taste in my mouth and I would absolutely never buy from any Inchcape dealership ever again. BUYER BEWARE

Ross was very helpful he went above and beyond my expectations. He made sure I was fully satisfied with all the information that he had told me about my new electric mini.
I would definitely tell family and friends about this dealership.

Service team were very good but the self check in, doesn't work.
I added additional work to be done on the on line self check in but the service team didn't receive it. So when I mentioned it on a progress report in the afternoon, they weren't aware of these works and have to make another appointment and a 2nd visit

Took a test drive on a clubman that was unclean and even had cobwebs inside. Decided to purchase it as it drove well and was promised most scratches would ‘mop off’ . A few days later travelled with my daughter to pick up the car. Waited for 2 hours in the showroom before being told the car had locked itself and they couldn’t get in to it. Finally allowed to look at the exterior from in the workshop and the car still had loads of long scratches on the top and bonnet. The dealership refused to do anything further to remove the metre long scratches. Wasted 3 hour journey and train ticket costs. Since bought a vehicle from mini Shrewsbury where the standard was 5*.

Booking process and staff all excellent. Service and map update also v good.
The complimentary wash however was very poor - the car was not cleaned properly

I took my daughter's 2 series for a recall. However as we were driving home a message popped up saying one of the wheels was low on pressure. Got it pumped but was empty the following day. I took it to a tyre place but the wheel nut key lock had gone missing. So I called Chelmsford Inchcape to see if they had one I can buy. They didn't have it. So called Inchcape Colchester who said they had one. Bought it but it was an old used one. Could Inchcape be nicking these for resale in other branches? I went back to the tyre people who discovered that it was a crack on the alloy wheel. So I went back to Chelmsford as I believe they had something to do with this. The manager was so dismissive and rude. Speaking to me as if I was a little child. This made me to believe that they had caused the crack. I went back and watched the video they did before repairing the car. The crack was not there and the mechanic did not see any crack. Too many coincidences or they just should never be trusted. Be careful BMW owners, these guys cannot be trusted at all.
