This statue of Sherlock Holmes is by the sculptor John Doubleday. It stands near the supposed site of 221B Baker Street, the fictional detective's address.

This is a bronze statue and at 3m high is clearly larger than life. The statue depicts Holmes wearing an Inverness cape and a deerstalker on his head. In his right hand, Holmes is holding a pipe. A very stereotypical portrayal of the fictional detective. It's located just outside Baker Street tube station on Marylebone Road, near both the Sherlock Holmes Museum between numbers 237 and 241 Baker Street.

Definitely worth a look if in the area and combining with a visit to the equally fictional Sherlock Holmes Museum.

Sherlock Holmes is one of the most famous fictional detectives in the United Kingdom, if not the world. This bronze statue positioned right outside of Baker Street tube station is a nice little site for both tourists and fans of the detective. The statue really brings the character to life and provides a great photo opportunity.

For any Sherlock Holmes fan, a visit to the Sherlock statue opposite Baker Street tube station is a must. It's just a simple statue of a classic representation of Sherlock, in the classic outfit of him, wearing his famous deerstalker and smoking a pipe.

🕵️Must-See Tribute for Sherlock Holmes Fans🕵️

The impressive statue greets you shortly after you leave Baker Street Station and arrive on the walkway. It's close to 10 feet tall, and the bronze sculpt captures a beautiful iridescence on rainy days. I stopped here on my way to the Sherlock Holmes Museum, but the statue itself is erected closer to the supposed location of 221B Baker Street.

It makes a lovely photo spot (selfie or otherwise), and belongs on the must-see list of any fan of Doyle's famous detective during their tour of London. Be sure to stop by the Sherlock Holmes Museum as well.

A surprising little gem. Book tickets in advance and go out of the tourist season first thing in the morning. It’s popular.

One of iconic place to visit in London. You can come easily by using underground train. In here, you can visit several tourist spots: kiosks selling Sherlock Holmes merchandise, Madame Tussaud museum, several restaurants, Regents Park. All of these places are really enjoyable for you tourists. Recommended place
