I will be forever grateful to Steve for making my dream come true! Steve is absolutely amazing and he did go above and beyond to make sure we will get mortgage to buy our first home. When the other brokers told us - no chance! Steve said - we can do this!!! And he did!!! Steve managed to secure us mortgage with high street lender ( I never thought that will be possible in our not straight forward case) with very good rates. Not only that , Steve communicate on our behalf with very impatient estate agent as I was too stress to handle it. Steve is absolutely amazing! Knowing that getting mortgage and buying a house is stressful experience, he was always there and answer our questions and doubts. He is very friendly and he knows that behind that mortgage application is a family with a dream, to buy forever home , and he do what he can to help this family make that dream come true. I can't express how grateful we are for his hard work and dedication. We received our mortgage offer on Tuesday and we can't wait for the day when we collect the keys to our home. Don’t have particular pleasure in writing negative reviews that may impact someone’s business and livelihood, particularly during these challenging times to this sector. However I feel obliged to do it, since the positive reviews here posted were the sole reason I hired momentum mortgages. I will do my bit to prevent anyone going through the same without a fair warning.

Back in April, anticipating a tough market, we asked Momentum mortgages to lock our rate with a lender ASAP (we were FTB, good salaries, easy mortgage albeit large). We were told rate was locked and for the next 7 weeks taken for a ride about how slow the bank was, and the mortgage offer would come soon, only to find out Momentum did a mistake in our application, knew about it, and decided not to tell us during these 7 weeks. At this unprecedented time rates were increasing every day, and over these 7 weeks spiked dramatically, with the equivalent product being now £1,000 month more expensive - we could no longer proceed with the deal on the same terms, house went back to the market.
I understand the technical mistake, but blind siding us and taking away our chance of doing something for 7 weeks should strip their license for doing business. This is our chance of buying a house gone, maybe the last chance, because they thought they knew better. Not their call to make, can’t bet on other people’s money.

Momentum mortgages were negligent, for withholding key information from us, naif for not reading the market, grossly incompetent for not being able to get a vanilla mortgage offer, and unprofessional and unresponsive overall.
To top it all up, after firing Momentum mortgages I found Steve Dickinson talking to my solicitor (who he recommended in the first place) and getting from him confidential information about my house purchase situation, all this during my formal complaint process. Honestly, I couldn’t make this stuff up.

Obviously I would not trust them anywhere near anything important.

Can only say good things about Dan and Momentum Mortgages, very helpful with all questions and queries we had. He has found us a great offer considering the current climate with high interest rates, which met our needs. Very personable and easy to talk to, always available when we needed to chat at any times of the day. Would always recommend Momentum Mortgages for a stress-free way to receive the best Mortgage Offer.
