Nice small masjid locsted in acton. Not far off from the the high street and the other main masjid in acton. First time I went here the other day for a talk which was being held and was by the youtuber dawah man. Was a good talk would come back. The masjid has a couple of cats just wondering around which I think is quite cool and nice to see and they are pure animals in islam. I am.sure they are trained and would not leave any impurities in the masjid

Nice mosque for Taraweh - lovely kirath. Would have given 5 stars but was disgusted that there was a fund raising speaker last night just before Taraweh that claimed that the building used to be a British Legion Club where members of the armed forces came to celebrate murdering and raping Muslims. That would be similar to generalising that all Muslim men operate in gangs to groom and rape children just because there have been court cases about some Muslim men operating in gangs grooming and raping girls Many members of the British armed forces have saved Muslim lives. It's a shame that the mosque was being used by this particular individual to sow division in society, and hopefully is not a reflection of the attitude of the majority of the people who use the mosque..

Apparently this centre was founded partly or wholly by Khalid Rashad, brother of a Boney M singer. I had read about Khalid on the internet. Years ago people worked together to construct the Masjid and there are pictures and videos on the internet of young people doing their Shahadah.

The building is fairly small on the outside with very limited parking but nearby streets have parking evenings and weekends.

This weekend they held a series of lectures about Redemption, women, Islam, good deeds and so on, some in Somali and some English.

The people are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed.

They have a weekend Madrassah for about 50 kids mostly older primary and younger secondary. In the Masjid building the grey brown carpet is functional without the intricate beauty of some Masjid carpets.

You go through a shoe rack area which is spacious and the prayer hall has a table in the front, analogue prayer time clocks, and at the back are areas with screens in which classes take place. "My prophet is."., "my religion is.." signs can be seen.

At the front is a bookcase with around 20 books.

About 20 people attending Dhur at the weekend. The Masjid or Centre has signs asking for donations of £5 per month.

The fun day barbecue charged £5 for burgers, £4 for chicken, £1 for drinks. £2 for 10 minutes bouncy castle.

The worshippers seem to be a mixture of African, Arab and Far Eastern.

A nice place to visit.
