Dagenham Jamme Masjid

I've been attending the mosque for over a year now and it is generally a pleasant mosque. They seem quite stable and efficient in running multiple jammahs for jummuah and eid to cater for the community. They provide maktab classes for kids and Qur'an classes for women.

I do think, however, that they seem to be lacking vision for growth and seem rather content with what they have.

Dagenham now has a fast growing Muslim community and with the money that is being raised weekly and during Ramadan, I think they need to get younger brothers involved in taking the mosque to the next steps. For starters:

1. Get the mosque a website that would build a brand and trust with the community. Making prayer timetable accessible online and easier to donate.

2. Have at least one jammah do jummuah khutbah in English. For the mass sometimes the only chance for a naseeha during the working week is jummuah.

3. Be more transparent with the community in terms of how much debt the mosque has, how much cash the mosque holds and plans for future projects. All this will build trust with the community which is what is needed to help the mosque grow.

4. Future projects could be feeding the homeless in Dagenham, high quality open mosque events to educate local non-Muslims. More youth activity for kids to build a loving relationship with the mosque.

In short, I think the mosque committee could benefit from adding younger skilled muslims to the group for future discussions.

Very conveniently located in Dagenham, a quick stop to pray on my travels. Large pray hall with a beautiful wood work.

Wudu facilities a bit small, was a bit confusing where the entrance was as there's several entrances and all closed, then realised the entrance was via the rear of the building.

Lots of parking space, the mosque I think shares the land with other facilities.

Main hall could do with a good vacuum, but other then that very nice place and very peaceful mosque.

Very big hall with breathtaking interior work. Wudu facilities are beautifully modern and very clean. You can tell the team keep the place very tidy and are very dedicated.
This masjid provides free Quran classes for women every week ma shaa allah. They also accommodate woman's eid salah.

It is situated in a calm environment, No disturbance while praying what so ever. was even open after the jamat time was finished.

Beautiful Masjid with a lot of parking spaces

Great, clean mosque with space for approx. 400 people from what I can make out. I should make the effort to come to more prayers as the imam's recitation for Jummah is beautiful and really allows you to focus on your prayer and the beautiful words from Allah.

Very good reciters. Not the best with punctuation. They have parking facilities but spaces run out fast.
