I have been going to this store for years and have always been happy with the service and range of products available. However, this morning I went in looking for a hard case for a pair of glasses. The sales assistant said they didn't have it and continued talking on his mobile on the shop floor. I really needed a box for the glasses as I was going to post them, I asked for any suitable box/container. He said they didn't have a single box to sell to me. I could not believe that a store that size, with that many homeware products would not have a single small box for me to buy. By this point I got a little frustrated at the unwillingness of the sales assistant to do his job and assist me with my request. In the end he told me that he didn't want to sell me anything ever and that there was nothing in the store for me. I ended up picking up a pack of takeaway container boxes (I knew exactly where they were as I had bought them previously) and leaving the money on the counter. I have never experienced such terrible and rude customer service. I will be complaining to the owner of the store who I have dealt with in the past.

Generally good stuff in here. You might not find anywhere else. However it’s a bit like being in a market. You’ve got to fight to find it and don’t always expect help from someone. It depends who you get.

Lots of items, staff very friendly and helpful. Serving tomes are quick. Location is very prominent and East to find. The only disadvantage is that there isn't street parking near by.
