Haven't been to the odeon in chelmsford for years! Thought we'd go here for a change but wouldn't rush back! Would rather spend a bit extra and go everyman! First lady to greet us and scan our tickets was lovely! However when getting food they completely messed up our order, missed things that should have been part of a meal deal, gave us the wrong size drinks which were also included in the meal deal! Took ages to serve us! Seemed really annoyed everytime we pointed out they'd missed something else on our order. No real sincere apology for any of this. Considering the ridiculous prices we were of course going to make sure we got what we were paying for! The food was poor quality and by time we got it after the service getting it, it was mostly cold! The only half decent thing was the nachos and sweets we got! Would never get hot food from there again! The cinema itself is in need of some TLC! Couldn't belive how run down it looks now! We were in screen 1 and everytime I leant down to something on the floor there was a urine odour! Think it'll be a good amount of years again until I brave to come back to this odeon!

Lots of screens and the tickets are a fair price, however they make up for it charging £6.50 for a hot dog, and thay doesnt include anything extra you want on top! And OMG do you need a tech degree to be able to order food through the screen apps as apparently this cannot be done in person, and staff watch while you struggle. We went for premium seats so had lots of leg room however the premium seat headrest in front is so big that it obstructed my view which was really annoying. Also felt that leaving Dr Strange and the multi universe of madness, I was still in the film trying to find the toilets and the way out of the building as much better signage is required.

Next to impossible to get a refund or ammend a booking, every phone number you ring sends you round in circles. A once enjoyable and personable experience has become just another money grab with automated voices and no care given

Don't pre order food. It took 4 people to assemble, from packets and microwave and tasted awful. The staff who "took our eticket was very helpful and the actual movie was fabulous 👌.

Nice experience. Though worn out chairs in the cinema rooms in Chelmsford. They need to do better to take care of the property looks like it need maintenance

Super service, good range of films and times. As soon as we arrived, someone came over to assist and get us booked in. A short wait for the screen to open but again were told when we could go in. Usual availability of popcorn, snacks. Sweets & drink with ability yo order it before you arrive. Good seats, good sound, and descent screens.

The popcorn and drink is a rip off at ten pounds now. Secondly the 'premier' seat is ever so slightly larger than a normal one. The back was not reclined which made it uncomfortable. Honestly with competition like Everyman cinemas I don't know how Odean is still open. Going to a cinema now is a rare treat. A luxury given how much money you can save by waiting three months to stream it instead. They either need to be cheaper or upgrade their seats and I certainly did not get my moneys worth.

Cinema great staff helpful one did spoil the film was the row of boys at the back row behind my friend and me. Kicked back of my seat giggeled throughtout fiilm I did speak to them but iy didnt make a difference. On leaving cinema looking the back row was covered in popcorn cups it was discussting. Maybe staff member check while film is on.
