We love the Curzon. Went to see Belfast. Had a little drink and something to eat before hand.. comfortable and exceptionally friendly staff..you can even pre order before the movie drink and food. Then eat and drink as you watch the movie of choice. Why not give it ago. Recommended

My first visit to this Cinema, went out with the Wife and pre-booked what I call sofa seats that recline and I wasn’t disappointed,
very comfortable and a really enjoyable experience.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the service was really good considering it was a busy Saturday evening.
We ordered a couple of drinks from the Bar and ordered some Nachos too share I wish I’d order more as they were very nice .
We parked in Priory St Car Park which is approximately 5 mins walk away.
I will be coming back

We are regulars and always enjoy a lovely cup of coffee and a cake prior to going into see the film of our choice. The staff are always helpful and polite would defiantly recommend.

We went here to see live coverage of Queen Elizabeth II funeral. We were in screen 3 which is an intimate room for around 60 people. We had drinks and cake which were tasty and well priced.

Don't visit as often as I should. We are so lucky to have a Curzon in Colchester.

The team are great. Good coffee, beers and wine. I have an obsession with their chilli rice crackers. The pizzas etc look great.

Inside the screensn are spacious, comfortable seating areas. Proper rests and small tables to put refreshments on.

Also, everytime I go to Curzon I find myself staring in amazement as we all collect our snacks, wine glasses and coffee cups, after the film has finished. It's a different ambience, you see. Refinement of the utmost. Unlike Odeon/Vue/Cineworld popcorn esque, sticky seat tips.

Only been here a few times, seating is lovely. Nice to sit back for a bit and the screens are not too big.

Stupidly priced soft drinks, no size options, just the mini coke bottles. The seats aren't very comfortable and extremely close together when you consider everyone having a coat to stuff somewhere. No cup holders, instead you get silly little tables you can barely fit your popcorn on. Couldn't find the toilets, only an accessible one. Overall it has a very pretentious feel despite it actually being fairly grubby and to top it off they don't take cash. Won't be going back

Really comfy seats, nice to be able to sit next to your partner on a sofa style chair. I like that the screens are smaller and the seats are at a good height so tall people in front of you won't be an issue. It feels like a classy cinema where your experience won't be ruined by idiots!! A good selection of food and drinks too.
I was just a bit confused about when I could go into the screening and if I needed to show a ticket etc. The official film time had started but no one was around to check tickets or show us where to go so we just walked in anyway. Obviously once we were in there even the adverts hadn't begun so we weren't late!
Definitely better than the other cinema in town and worth paying a bit extra for.
