Low cost refreshments are on offer pre film and during intervals and a raffle adds frisson to the event. Finally, the evening is rounded off by an optional discussion group focussing on the main film event. Altogether an entertaining, interesting, value for money outing.

Well, what can I say about this place? Fabulous films shown in a comfortable environment by fabulous people who really understand the word “community” – and some of whom are nifty little movers on the dancefloor! (You know who you are). I have attended almost every film since September 2019 – and (aside) have won the raffle on every visit. From the smiling, welcoming face at the door to the end credits - and post-film discussion group – the people involved instil a real sense of belonging and sharing in an atmosphere of mutual love of the moving image. If that weren’t enough we – the audience – get to suggest and vote on the programme of films for the season. And if THAT weren’t enough, there are fabulous cakes on sale too at an incredibly reasonable price, themed to match the main film, as are the music on entry and the short accompanying films. If you cannot find me on alternate Saturday evenings, there is an excellent chance I shall be sitting in my regular seat in Sunnyside Hall, Rusthall. Probably with a gentle smile on my face. If only Google Reviews allowed more than five stars ……

Is a wonderful community organisation, and is always warm and friendly. The cakes are amazing and are wonderfully relevant to the film being shown. Oh yes the films, chosen by the members are marvellous
