FEEL THE NEED
FEEL THE NEED226 days ago
Clean, comfortable and the staff were welcoming.
The screen's aren't massive like they once were back in the late 80s
The food and drinks a little on the expensive side.
But the reclining seats are very comfortable.
I just wish they did sofa's so you could cuddle up with someone special while watching a movie. Your a bit far apart and that's a shame, kind of spoils the first date experience.

Took my son to watch Super Pets, there was an issue with the sound and the screening had to be cancelled. The team were great and offered us a refund and free tickets, we went back later the same day and it was sorted.
The staff were having a rough day because there was an issue with all the ticket and card equipment and it wasn't working but they were great and all went above and beyond, even when my son got over excited and spilt his popcorn.

A real positive addition to the new Riverside entertainment and hospitality area in Durham City. All staff are extremely friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make you welcome. The seating in the cinema is incredibly comfortable with reclining wide seats and plenty of individual table space for drinks and snacks. Can highly recommend a visit.

Clean, seats are extremely comfortable, staff very polite and helpful, but food is a disgrace. Especially the nachos which they claim to be very proud of, but also the pop corn is not edible!! They are aged, impossible to bite and the taste is like they were there for ages. Also the cheese sauce, it looks and behaves like plastic, is never even warm, and all is a waste of money. It is a pity and great disappointment. I suggest you do not waste your money on food there. I have been there 8 times in the past month and food was always a total disappointment.

We always love to come to this cinema! Every chair is a recliner and you feel as if you get 5* service from beginning to end. We take our own food because it's not very cheap for the food, but that's a personal problem, and I'll not rate poorly because of that! It's well worth a visit to see what EVERY cinema should be like!

The film itself was worth the 13 year wait!! But was let down by the cinema. First we were told the reclining seats on our row weren't working in which they either offered a full refund or a ticket to another screening but we went ahead with our original booking even though we'd paid the extra for reclining. We then noticed partway through the film that the 3D effect seemed to be off (Other viewers we met outside had also noticed this problem). The characters did pop out of the screen as they should being in 3D but at times it was either too blurry or the focal point was becoming too blended in with the background which made your eyes strain after a while. Even when there was writing on the screen you had to close one eye to be able to see clearly what it said. We are unsure if this was a technical error with the film itself or the screen.

Once we had left the screening we met the other few viewers that had noticed the same problem and saw the manager. Unfortunately we couldn't get a refund for the tickets since it did spoil the experience but he kindly gave us all ticket vouchers to use for our next cinema trip. We weren't told what the problem was but I advise people to avoid screen 1 viewings until the problem can be fixed. The room was also quite cold which isn't very good when we're in the minus temperatures outside.

Great location band different to normal cinema experience. Booked in advance and when you arrive you order any food and drink at a self service device, then collect at the counter when ready. The cinema itself was fantastic. Large armchair style seat that reclines using a button at the side. Table that swivels in front and they were so comfy. Sound and visuals were brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed no time to die. The luxe experience is definitely one to try out.

Easy to book seats, food and drink on line. The seat was a great recliner very comfortable as I was watching a 3.5 hour film. The only drawback was with the number 2 car park I used its under the cinema and is very tight to drive around, however I would still use again. Thank you to the staff there they were very helpful and friendly 🍻
