My 1st visit to a cinema for many years and having been to this cinema it won’t be my last. I suppose I will always think of it as the Byron with its art deco exterior looking a little tired but go through the doors and WOW what a transformation. Full credit to those selfless people who must have spent countless days, months, years even completely transforming the Byron into the Arc a completely modern and welcoming picture house( sorry that’s my age showing) cinema!
A lovely area to sit, eat buy refreshments, drink and talk whilst waiting for your movie to start. Everything is clean fresh and easy to access. The actual cinema we went into was not overly big, there was plenty of seat room and blimey adjustable footrests, no more being scrunched up like a sardine with someone’s knees pressed either side of your ears or into your backbone!
The film was Elvis and having been a fan since I was a youngster I’ve seen the good, bad and indifferent movies and documentaries about the late legend and have become somewhat cynical when a new blockbuster is hyped to the max. However this was a really top class film and not the usual load of cobblers and sensationalism that other films in the past portrayed. I would highly recommend it. Why the film review? Well it’s a cinema and a cinema without a movie is a bingo hall in waiting not that there’s anything wrong with bingo of course!
Hucknall should be rightly proud of the Arc, I hope people support it because it is well worth supporting.

Nice local cinema. Clean, comfy seats,, plenty of goodies to choose from in the foyer but probably cheaper to bring drinks, snacks with you. Cheaper seats at various times. Would definitely go again.

This is a comfortable and nice cinema, small ish screens with about 100 seats per screen. The seats have adjustable foot rests and are really comfortable, there is plenty of room for other patrons to walk by to their seats. Prices are good too, especially £4 for a matinee (pre 3pm) performance.

I've been twice now and would go again.

Usually a good cinema. Let down last time I went as the film cut out 2 hours in. Got refunded but never coming again. It’s also like a sauna in there. Staff were brilliant even when I was fuming.

Just been to the Arc Cinema in Hucknall . I thought it was a great place the seats are so big and comfortable . It seems so modern to what I remember when I went many years ago. The staff were great It's good having a local cinema and not having to go into Nottingham . I would definitely recommend it

This is a fantastic facility for Hucknall. Lovely old building but ultra modern and spotless inside and staffed by some wonderful and friendly people. Good snack options and local beers too.

Sometimes the sound system is a bit intense and I say that as someone who’s always got stuff on too loud. Ironically, watching A Quiet Place, I had to nip out during the ad reel and ask if they could turn it down a bit before my ears started bleeding! A first in my life but it was done immediately.

As others have said, you won’t find a more comfortable seat in which to watch a film.

2022 update: It just keeps getting better. The fan events are amazing! Amazing customer service from the great team. Fabulous leather electric recliner seats, digital laser projectors in 4 screens and lower prices than elsewhere. Licensed to sell beer and the fan events are spectacular. Best cinema I've ever been to. Ever.
