Do not trust these people with your belongings - moved from Kent to Dorset, 2 sofa's damaged with foot prints on sides, Plasma TV scratched wing mirrors snapped off motorbike and various other broken, damaged and missing items. CHECK THE INSURANCE SMALL PRINT and ask for everything in writing they tell you over the phone! Most of the packers/movers are excellent but the Management are totally unprofessional

I'm moving into a house where White and Company moved the previous owner out. The poor lady was very stressed as they sent 2 people to do a 4 person job which ended up taking 8 hours before they even got on the road. They also left muddy footprints all over the carpet in the entire house which we will now have to have professionally clean. I hope this was a one-off for them because it is appalling service!

Avoid.

I went with White & Co. rather than Pickfords or Simpsons, as they were very responsive and reasonably cheaper. As soon as my payment was received, the responsiveness ended. Endless emails to follow up, with repeated promises to call me back which never happened (the ‘Managing Director’ was oft-cited as ‘calling me back’. Never happened, from anyone). I had to endlessly hassle them for updates, & finally had to force the shipment after 14 weeks of sitting in the UK. Their subcontractor for Sweden was clueless, & calling me for directions & access to White’s warehouse in the UK. The shipment finally arrived, weeks late, with damage. They did not clear away or unpack, as I had paid for and was in writing on the worksheet. I asked them to propose a reasonable refund for the latter, and unsurprisingly I never heard back. The only reason I am giving a 1 star, is that Jane & Sally were friendly.

Go with anybody else. You’ll be glad for it..

Awful!! I set up a zoom call for a quote. The assistant asked me why I’m moving and made a few other remarks which I found quite intrusive. By the end of the call I said I’m not interested in their service and he asked me what am I doing instead- I explained it doesn’t need to know.
After the call I received a quote from them anyway even after explaining I’m not interested. Also, this company gave my details to a money exchange company that have contacted me via telephone and have already sent me 2 emails- even after I said I’m not interested in this too. I’m feeling harassed!!! This company is really quite terrible and I regret contacting them in the first place.

Delighted with the service from White & Company. From a zoom meeting with a very nice gentleman who did a survey of the house to give us a quote, to the office providing us with packing equipment and organising the day we needed, to the two gentleman who arrived promptly to move us on the day. They were fantastic! Especially on the day, all of our carpets were protected. They took every care with our belongings and if we moved in future I'd certainly use them again!
Once I contacted the office to confirm we'd unpacked, someone collected the boxes we had been provided with, which was great.
We opted for the "fog" which sanitised the property we were moving in to once all our belongings had been moved inside which was well worth it and gave us peace of mind in an uncertain time (we moved in lockdown)
I can't praise them enough, they were very well priced and good quality service too.
3 months late leaving this review, but I was asked if we'd recommend a removal firm by a friend which prompted me to leave this review, albeit late!
