Bishop's Move

Had my belongings moved due to a posting so my removals were moved at public expense, my 48 inch TV was badly damaged during the process and will not take responsibility.

We packed up. They moved us.

Well we got 90% of our house packed and were worried we hadn't done enough. The team arrived the day before and in a couple of hours our contents were safely stored on the wagon. Next day the guys swept up the rest drove and unloaded it all and by 16:00 the door was shut and we were in.

Brilliant service, administration was easy porters were friendly and efficient they had the kit and the experience to tackle anything.

When we used this service, we found two of the three men were helpful and friendly but the third one was very surly. (The two friendly men have pushed this rating up to a two, otherwise it would have been a one!)

When the (packing) boxes were delivered to us before we moved, they only sent small boxes and forgot to send the larger ones - these finally arrived the day before we moved! This put pressure on us to get things packed in one day! This was not helpful.

We were only moving fifteen minutes away and when we went from our old property to our new one, the removal men disappeared for well over an hour! It turns out they had stopped for lunch. We don't have an issue with them stopping for lunch, it was the fact they didn't tell us they were going to do this that was the problem and that we were sat waiting for them!

The biggest issue was the damage to our furniture! Nearly every item had a bash or a scuff on it; the back of one of the drawer units had completely collapsed in. We were asked to sign a document on the day to say everything had been delivered and there was no damage - well how are you supposed to check every box is present and every item of furniture is OK on the day you move? The day is hectic enough as it is and it takes several days to get the place straight (and several weeks to get every box unpacked!).

We did contact the company and they didn't response so I really don't rate them very highly at all. We won't be using them again!

Great service for the third time. Cheerfully completed our removals without fuss. Very happy.
