Agincourt Removals

From the start Agincourt were brilliant. We only managed to give them about a weeks notice but they were very accommodating. Dean was very responsive and flexible. When he came round for the quote it went really well and I felt we were in good hands. We went for the packing option as well as the move and arranged for George and the team to come round the day before and pack up most of the house they were brilliant even with our dogs sometimes getting in the way. Before they came we found that our house was not going to be available to move into but we still had to move out. After speaking with Dean he put us in touch with a storage company who were great value and of good assistance. This helped to limit the stress of now being homeless! The next day when George and his team turned back up they were brilliant I had to leave them to it whilst sorting loads of other bits and pieces out, when they took the stuff to the storage I was still doing things but met them just as they finished and because of the relationship they have with the storage business it meant they could unload into the storage before I had completed everything. I could not recommend them enough they have gone way beyond what you would expect from a removals company. Thank you so much.

Agincourt's response was immediate, comprehensive and reassuring, and highly professional. Not only that, but their quotation was more than reasonable. Their operatives turned up precisely when they said they would and dealt with the move with cheery and helpful goodwill, turning what I had anticipated would be a stressful and tiring event into slick efficiency. I really can't praise Agincourt enough and I will certainly recommend them to anyone contemplating a move.

TL;DR: Great experience from start to finish. Never used removal company before so didn't know what the process is but everyone at Agincourt were friendly and helpful.
Longer version: This is everything that happened to help anyone who, like me, hasn't used removals before. I rang up and explained where I was moving from and to and got an appointment booked in for the next day to have my belongings surveyed for a quote. Surveyor came on time and we did a tour of what I wanted moving. Asked for all my glassware to be packed for me as some of it was delicate and I didn't trust my own packing. Also requested for my bed to be dismantled for me and reassembled at my new place. Surveyor said that was no problem and it was factored into the price. Got the quote first thing the next day and I was happy with it so replied saying I wanted to go ahead. In my particular case it was about £100 cheaper than other quotes but obviously that's just specific to me. But it give an idea that pricing is right and competitive.
Asked to read the T&Cs and fill out and email back a form and it was acknowledged.
Moving day came and 3 men in 2 lorries turned up. They absolutely cracked on with loading up and took care with everything. Even the most awkward of items they handled well to not be knocked against walls or anything. I was very impressed. They were all very friendly and asked about anything they were unsure about. They laid down rugs on the floor to make sure floors weren't marked as they walked in and out. 3 bedroom house was loaded up in about 3.5 hours. And it was a lot of stuff. Bed was taken apart and the glassware carefully wrapped and boxed up.
Got to the other end and with equal vigor the lorries were unloaded. And everything put in the rooms we had requested. Bed was reassembled back exactly how it was. The glassware was in perfect condition too. Happily signed off on a job well done and paid over the phone.
Overall very impressed and definitely would be happy to use them again. Top tip for anyone new to this: Mark every box with the room it goes in and the team will just unload things so quickly.

We were quite last minute with organising removals but they fitted us in for a survey the next day and sent us a quote within hours of the survey which was half the price of some of the other quotes we received.

Great service from the Agincourt team. They packed our home carefully with no damage and worked very fast. They returned on completion day and carefully loaded our life into the removal vehicle. They were patient whilst we were waiting for keys and moved us into our new home ensuring everything was in the right room. Good price and helped when our dates changed. We are still unpacking but will return your boxes soon!

Really happy with this service would highly recommend I had the packing service best money I've spent made the move alot more stress free totally worth it.

We moved about 350 miles from Portsmouth to Cumbria with a large amount of stuff and a few plants in pots as well, they were very quick and careful with all our stuff, communicated well at every stage and got everything moved in with no breakages at all apart from one can of Guinness! The guys were all quick, careful, helpful and cheerful and very professional. We would recommend them.
