F. Smith and Son ( Croydon ) Ltd

I got about 3 quotes for our move from London to Surrey and although F. Smith and Son were more expensive than the others, I am SO glad I went with them. The whole process was absolutely seamless and the people involved really know what they’re doing. The move was split over 2 days which we really appreciated as it meant we had a bit of extra time between the days to pack up our items. The team (Barry, James, Bradley, Daniel & Reece) were absolutely quality. Nothing was too much for them and they removed all our belongings with epic care and efficiency. At the other side they did a tour of the house with us to check where items were going. We started unloading at 12:30 and they were done by 3pm!! Uber efficiency!! They also dismantled the beds and sofas that needed it and reassembled them perfectly. I can’t tell you how good it was to have the bed built and ready to go immediately! I would 100% recommend this company to anyone as they clearly know what they’re doing with a shed load of experience. Yes they are possibly more expensive than others but you absolutely get what you pay for. Thanks again for all your hard work team you smashed it.

I suddenly got my moving day I called a few removal companies but found f.smith and son to be the most professional polite and accommodating.
On the day of my move I found the guys to be very helpful polite and was very careful when moving my belongings.
I Would recommend this company to anyone and should I move again I would definitely being using them again

Fantastic team who took great care in packing and moving me from my flat in Croydon. I was initially reluctant to go with professional movers but after my experience I will never do it on my own again. Smiths were professional punctual careful thorough and supportive every step of the way. Great value for money.

F. Smith and Son were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Moving house is always stressful, but the care that the team took with our possessions, and the speed of their work was exceptional. Furniture was carefully dismantled to be moved, and reconstructed at the other side (often better than it had been built in the first place!). The team were charming, polite and very hardworking. I couldn't recommend them more, and will always come to F. Smith and son if we need to move again.

With just 1 week to go until our move, our booking was suddenly cancelled via email without warning or even a telephone call. When I called to ask why, I was given no explanation apart from being told that another booking had come in, so I suspect it was a far more lucrative job than our relatively small booking. It caused us terrible stress as we had to call dozens of firms at incredibly short notice to find another removal company, and eventually we found someone friendly and accommodating. Extra stress is not needed at such a trying time so please do not put yourselves through it and make sure not to use this firm!

From my first contact with F Smith & Sons I was really taken with this company. The office staff (Lorraine and others I don't know their names) were always so helpful on the phone although you could tell how busy they were. The surveyor was great, gave me tips on packing and reassured me that they will not leave my sofa in the front garden (and they didn't!). The movers were two great guys, Aidan and Kilan, ever so polite, efficient and problem solved all the way. Thank you for making my move day a good experience!

I have nothing but good things to say about these guys. When Steve came out to visit he was thorough in his checks and his questions, about things we didn't even think about when we were moving home. On moving day, Lee and his team were reapectful of our belongings, courteous in dealing with us and just very professional. They were quick and efficient when removing and also when we reached the new house. They took a lot of the stress out of moving- money well spent. Highly recommended 👌 👍. Thank you guys!!
