Nightingale Removals and Storage

Don't use this company!
1) The removers left items behind, and because they were in a hurry to finish, they didn't pack all our crates with care.
2) Once they have a signed contract, when the company emails you, they don't sign the email, which makes it hard to find the right person if you have problems.
4) Some of my goods arrived damaged or were missing entirely. No response yet to my complaint.
Their upfront salesperson was very convincing, but the quality of service stops there.

Having just moved again with Nightingale's for the sixth time, I don't recognise the company mentioned in Maureen's post. I've moved with my work more times than I care to remember, sampled many companies and Nightingale's are by far the best. I can only talk from my own experience which is probably more than most..................may they go from strength to strength. Highly recommend.

Absolutely brilliant service from start to the end. Richard was willing to listen and adapt to our obstacles, priced competitively and made the whole process very simple. The removal team on were fantastic too. Competent, well mannered and fast working. We had them over to pack on day 1, load the vans day 2 and unload the vans day 3, all with a seamless and punctual process. With all the stress involved in moving, they really did help alleviate it from this part of the process. If I am ever daft enough to move again I would not hesitate to use this company again

A fantastic company with a brilliant service. Kevin was a joy to work with, and the men worked tirelessly, and always with good humour. They were incredibly efficient, and packed up our entire house in only two days, moving us into our new house in only three hours. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good-value, efficient, friendly removal service.

We recently used Nightingale for our move from Bristol to Swindon and couldn’t have asked for better customer service. Right from the initial appraisal through to the move, in what can only be described as dreadful weather, everyone was professional, friendly and caring of our property. We would have no hesitation in recommending Nightingale's to friends and family.

The move went seamlessly even though we faced some problems beforehand. Something that is not related to the move as such but made me incredibly happy and felt comfortable was that the two guys who did the moving for us left me a room with a chair/bed to breastfeed my baby in until the last moment. Overall great work and friendly people.

It would be difficult to better any aspect of the removal experience . Nightingale team transported our son's belongings from north to south Bristol and from the very first telephone contact , through their easy to navigate booking website , to the move itself their service was accommodating , efficient , courteous and friendly . The team arrived promptly , handled everything carefully , liaised with us regularly to ensure that nothing was left behind or removed in error , all for a most reasonable price . I used, as an individual, long term storage for over 10 years. Very high standards of service. Challenging storage conditions and pricing structure. To begin with, the quotation for emptying my house and moving goods into storage was aggressively priced, the service was exceedingly good. Then I was charged a price per container per month, of course subject to regular increases reflecting energy price increases. However, T&Cs for storage reveal exceedingly restrictive because containers are piled up vertically. If I needed access to a container after it had been stored, a crane had to put all containers above mine down first, then my container was put down, unsealed, open and resealed, and the whole pile had to be put back up again. As a result, I was charged high variable handling fees. And then, when finally I decided to move out of storage, though I had been a client for over 10 years, I had no discount whatsoever: the price I paid for moving 5 containers from Weston-super-Mare to Maidenhead after over 10 years of storage was the price I paid for moving exactly the same content from Maidenhead to the south of France.

Following this review 1) in June 2018, I was threatened with legal action, which never materialised 2) in October 2022, the company replied to my review stating that they have no record of me having ever been a client of theirs, whereas I have kept all invoices and correspondence proving that my belongings were in storage at their Weston-super-Mare premises from October 2006 until September 2015.
