The team were a great bunch of guys who carried out the job as instructed, and did so with enthusiasm and professionalism. Was our first time moving home, and they made it much easier for us. Nothing was broken, and everything was put in the correct rooms we asked for. Would happily recommend them.

I highly recommend using the services of this company, the team did what they came to do on the day - I had a stress-free house move thanks to their professional work. I chose this company because their communication - and pricing - was straight and clear, and on the move day I really appreciated their efficiency. Thank you team! I hope people see this review and realise you are the best choice for helping people move house :-)

We had some items in storage for 6 years and when we requested to pick these up we were surprised to see an extra £354 charge. When we queried this we were informed it was to cover 2 porters to move our items from the storage. We had around 15 items in a small container. This extra charge was never mentioned in any contract so was a big surprise. When we queried the charge again through a stressful conversation the charge was dropped.
During pick up of our items we could see they had been well looked after and the process was smooth however we were unsure why the extra charge had been there, the stress this caused was considerable so we recommend to others to watch out for any extra charges.

I have used this team 4 times now and each time I’ve had a fantastic experience. From small moves to complex moves they have been quick to respond, take the stress out of moving and are professional throughout. I have had the packing service in the past which was a Godsend when I put my back out and I’ve used their storage facility in my last move. Worth every penny and I always recommend them.

Many thanks to Kev, Dan and Pedro for making my house move as less stressful as possible, they were polite, professional and how they managed to pack my whole house into 2 rooms and I still be able to get to what I needed whilst renovating was amazing! Many thanks to you 😊

Really professional service with amazing and polite communication. I needed a piano moved and they charged £180 which was cheaper than other companies and this included getting up a large flight of steps. The piano did not have a mark on it so they did a good job.
I phoned them for the quote quite late in the evening and they are open late and so this is really helpful. Their communication was amazing and they let you know an hour before when they are due to arrive.
When I move I'll be using this company again and will strongly recommend them to friends and family.

I'm not the kind of person that normally leaves a review on Google but we were so indebted to Craig and his team for making our house move completely painless that I felt I needed to let others know what a joy they were to work with. Communication was very good. They arrived earlier than stated because the weather was due to be 30 degrees plus (our house moved took place in July and I apologize for not leaving a review before now) and despite the heat worked without rest, fueled only by the occasional cup of tea/coffee.

To make life easier, we had tried to label each box with a room name but inevitably there were a few that were missed. They checked with us for each and every box/item to ensure it ended up in the correct room.

We had zero breakages and zero damage. Orwell removals were a thoroughly professional company and I would have no hesitation in recommending or hiring them again.

Craig and his team seemed very nice initially and also professional, but this certainly did not prove to be the case when it came to moving.

It all started when Craig could not find the house we were moving into. He called my mobile and started swearing down the phone to me, he was clearly very angry and did not attempt to hide this. We had of course provided the full address to Orwell prior to moving.

There were also a number of issues relating to our furniture. All our kitchen crockery was broken, one of the TV's arrived with two scratches on the screen, my sons wardrobe had scratches down the handle and one of the planks from a shed we moved was missing. Oh, and they refused to take a basketball net saying they could not fit it in the truck, despite reviewing the house contents before booking the move. My father-in-law and I had to return to our old house to move this later the same week.

I've since been in touch, with a request to claim off the insurance (we requested the extra insurance when booking) and Craig is refusing to put in a claim for us, also stating that we did not take out the insurance. He has even said we have "no proof we was to blame". How on earth am I supposed to prove these items were not damaged before?? This is an impossible and unrealistic statement!

Appalling and unprofessional service. I would never use these again and certainly would recommend anyone else to avoid at all costs. Companies like this do not deserve to be in business. Leadership is about taking accountability for your actions and those of your business and dealing with them accordingly, not trying to wriggle out of them and shy away from dealing with them in a professional and honest manner.

Update 24 Jan 21 now I've seen Orwell's response: We did eventually move the basketball net in my father-in-laws van, after dismantling it. I only said I would have to cut it up with an angle grinder as it was the only way I could fit it in my car and we had to be out of the old house!

In terms of the china, it was not taped as the box had a thick fold and lock base, not the typical box with a seam down the middle which you tape. In terms of 'small box', not really. Orwell managed to smash 8 dinner plates, 8 dessert bowls and 6 side plates (2 survived) and 4 pasta bowls. So we lost all of our crockery except the two side plates.

And we did opt for the insurance, but Orwell forgot to invoice us. I'm still very annoyed we have a damaged TV which they would not claim for off the insurance. It's why we requested it, because we understand that accidents happen.
