Excellent service and great value from a reliable local business!

Phil and team turned up on time, very polite, clean efficient. It's hard to fix a date long in advance when moving house, and Phil was very happy for us to book a provisional date pending confirmation and proactively confirmed the dates with us which was much appreciated - not everyone is that flexible.

Our move went very well and without incident, and we were especially pleased that they were able to move some very heavy and cumbersome items that we thought we might not get in the van.

By far the best removals firm I have used. I have moved many times and used big national and local firms, and, without doubt, Phil's company is the most professional, hard-working, and careful firm we have experienced. His response to any unexpected difficulty throughout the day, and any worry I had before the move, was, "Don't worry. We will sort it." And he did, every time, even when we realised there was a low arch at the entrance to where we live preventing van access. Instead Phil and his colleague had to carry all our heavy furniture up and down the road into our home. They didn't complain once; their only goal was to ensure we moved safely, to our satisfaction, and with every item of our belongings intact, whereas I have used Pickfords before and other big, more expensive firms and have had items damaged during each move.

We used SJ Removals to move our belongings from a house to a one-bedroom flat in a gated area, including disassembling and reassembling of furniture. Not an easy move by any means but Phil and Jordan did an excellent job, tackling the work with efficiency, energy and a killer sense of humour. The price was very competitive compared to the other quotes I got and I couldn't be happier with the service received.

I used SJ removals in May 2020. They were excellent and I highly recommend them. Due to lockdown I had to move at short notice and SJ removals could not have been more helpful. On the day they moved everything very efficiently and I was really impressed at how quickly we were able to start unpacking. This is despite the weather being about 27 and scorching hot. The three removal people on the day were a pleasure to have around. I would book them again if I ever moved.

Phil just helped us move - arrived on time, disassembled & reassembled large bed and sofa and moved bunch of stuff quickly and efficiently. Was also kind to help with opening the wonky stuck garage doors at the place we were moving into! Great service at a great price, would recommend.

Communicative, punctual, resourceful (we were in lockdown when I needed a quote so Phil siggested we use video call to walk round the house I was moving from to enable him to quote me) also gave me advice on packing. On the day he had an incredible 'can do' and calm attitude reassuring, and helped keep my stress levels down as the day unfolded slightly differently than we'd expected. His assistant was friendly, affable too and a hard worker. 100% recommend!
