PSS International Removals

Everything was appalling. 1 star is too much. Poor packaging, poor communication, many broken items, many lost items totalling £1000's. Insurance company won't pay out full value even though the premium was paid.

We assessed the insurance cost and, on the basis of (hopefully) losing/damaging only a few items rather than a whole shipment we insured the shipment for an agreed amount to cover the expensive items for replacement. Upon claiming, we were told that the amount had to be equally distributed between all boxes/items rather than the item value, meaning that we could not replace our lost/damaged items. The boxes were also packed to maximise the number of boxes which now makes perfect sense so that they can rip you off on insurance and volume!

A completely stressful and upsetting experience from start to finish. I also don't know how you can even damage some of the things we had in the way that it was without it being purely negligence.

DO NOT USE!!!!!

One star not low enough, do not use or trust this company. They are all nice on the phone until they have your stuff and money. 9 months to receive my stuff from UK to Australia and all smashed. If your items are important to you DO not use this company… also goes with Kent Shipping.

I have never, in all my life come across a worse run, completely unprofessional and wholly incompetent company. We were moving from the UK to South Africa.
We have a large home and so chose to have a full physical survey done, the guy seemed nice enough. I showed him around the whole house. He said we could get away with a 40ft container but as an added bit of caution and for only £500 more, we chose to go with a high cube container, just to guarantee everything would with. PSS quoted on 4 guys packing up our home for 4 days. 2 chaps arrived, stressed to the max, hating the company they work for and slagging them off to us, all day long. They worked late every single day, but got it all packed up. The container arrives 6 hours late!! It takes until 10pm to load it, baring in mind we should have moved out of our home at 11am!! Then they tell me that 600 cubic feet of our belongings won’t fit!! We had to leave all our stuff outside, at the mercy of the elements, until it could be collected 2 days later and an additional eye watering charge!! Our shipping estimate was 3-5 weeks, it arrived yesterday at almost 11weeks!! Loads of stuff in boxes broken!!
This company is built on a shower of uncaring, unsympathetic jokers. I cannot advise highly enough against using them. We read all the poor reviews beforehand but chose to give them the benefit of the doubt, don’t make the same mistake we did!!!

From a grossly delayed haulage and delivery (nearly three weeks since arriving in port from Australia and approved by customs, sitting there with no update!) - the only reason we got delivery confirmation is that I followed up on email five times.

Then when it came to the delivery. It was an hour late with no call or anything to inform us. The gents were polite and efficient but did not unpack our items as per our booking (what we paid for), leaving us with 43 boxes and expecting us to keep them for 14 days because that's the soonest they can get someone to pick them up. Oh, and expecting us to pay £264 for them to pick them up, even though we paid for unpacking, reassembly (which never happened) and removal of boxes...

The whole service by PSS has been unsatisfactory. I would never recommend anyone to use them. Very disappointed!

Shocking. It’s a shame because the people I dealt with were helpful and nice. Luring you into a false sense of security. They aren’t cheap. That initial quote online will be a less than half of the actual price. A large 3 bed house quoted online to be £2100 - I only had one bedroom, a lounge and some boxes, no kitchen white goods or bikes etc. Ended up being £5000+, and the funny thing is a lot of the additional costs come AFTER you’ve signed the agreement. ‘If we cannot get your items shipped within a month then YOU are going to be charged storage.’ Is that right? Blank cheque there. ‘Shipping rates change so if they go up YOU have to pay the difference.’ I agree, but not AFTER PSS have my items. Again, another scam. And when I asked for the shipping invoice they said they couldn’t/not allowed to provide it. So basically you have to take their word. I was under the impression everything would have been quoted, booked and confirmed like normal businesses? Nope, it’s more like ‘we will take your items on a budget quote and see what we can do from there; if you disagree then we have your items hostage until you pay.’

They subcontracted out to a different company to collect. I wasn’t made aware of this until after agreeing to their terms. Like most of us, we will all read reviews on shipping companies but here, you don’t have an option of who will collect your items. I was lucky. The two guys were experienced and had a good laugh with them. Efficient and packaged our items well.

The company in Australia did well. Didn’t burst my wallet and delivered efficiently and professionally. Again this cost is not included in the initial quote. ‘It will be around $300-400 possibly.’ Possibly what? Possibly $1000? Who knows.

Moving your life abroad is stressful enough, expensive enough without the unknown of if your items are going to be held hostage. If I could turn back time I’d have sold everything and bought new. Or at least stayed well away from PSS.

We used PSS for move from UK to US and couldn't have been more impressed. Helen provided timely responsive information. Their packers, based in Cardiff, did a magnificent job carefully wrapping and boxing everything. All items arrived exactly as they left the UK. They were also half the price of another well known international removal company. Excellent value.

The most awful experience with the company. My belongings were shipped from Singapore by Classic Moving and they used this terrible company to deliver my belongings. They stole my watch from my house. I have the police involved. Honestly the most stressful and upsetting experience. It was my wedding present. Taken from my home by your company. Disgusting and unforgivable. DO NOT USE!

Good when selling and will tell you a good quote and that the bad reviews are either COVID related issues or misunderstanding
When they have your goods the truth comes out and it's ugly
Constant demand for more money while holding your goods you are stuck as they now have your goods
Do yourself a favour and avoid them
They cost me an extra 4000 pounds from quote and held my goods ransom
They blamed ironically COVID
When asked for evidence for doubling shipping cost I was sent the picture of a ship LOL
So unprofessional I am shocked how they remained in business this long
