This is a great museum filled with fascinating facts & exhibits covering Aldershot town's history and heritage, together with a multitude of British Army artifacts and miltary combat vehicles. Spent an afternoon here to absorb everything in detail, but could all be seen in much less time as a relatively small museum. There is a small cafe with gift shop, toilet facilities, ample free car parking and is run by dedicated volunteers. Admission fee includes unlimited free visits for a year. Highly recommended!

Fascinating, as much a social history museum as a military museum in the context of the Army's connection with Aldershot. Very friendly staff and a knowledgeable and amusing veteran on hand to share a tale or two. Some of the vehicles look like they need a bit of TLC but if we all visit, that'd help the cause no doubt.

We spent a couple of hours there and that would about cover it at a non-hectic pace. But we could have spent longer, just taking it all in - and we can, as the entry tickets are valid for a year.

I understand they do days where you can go in the vehicles but that wasn't on the day we went... oh well, a good excuse to go back.

The National Serviceman Mannequin is spooky par excellence - enjoy!

The children did enjoy themselves alot, which I was surprised with. They have a "find item Forms" that are good. Kids enjoyed that too.
Interesting facts throughout, would be going again. As there is a lot of information.
Outside there is a picnic area, great ! And an obstacle course, that my kids spent a while on....

A small museum mixing up the history of Aldershot with the history of the army's presence in the town today.
While not a museum of the military, there are quite a few military vehicles and tanks around the site. In the museum, there's some costumes for children to try on, and when we visited, (deactivated) guns to handle.
To complete the visit, there's an assault course for children in the grounds.

A great place to llspent a couple of hours learning about Aldershot and it's relationship with the military.
