Small little museum about Tring. We read every single placard and spent at least a full hour there. I suspect majority of people are in and out in 15 minutes because we saw lots of people come and go quite quickly.

Great display in such a small building. The two lady volunteers were very welcoming and knowledgeable.

A simple, elegant space that gives its visitors an accessible introduction to Tring. There are also activities for children that should interest many for as long as it will take their parents to appreciate the information provided. The volunteers are very welcoming. There is a small shop well stocked with Tring-specific books, postcards, maps and the usual bits and pieces. Entry is free but it is a public service that really does deserve visitor contributions.

Nice little museum in the quant little town of Tring

The Natural History Museum at Tring was the private museum of Lionel Walter, 2nd Baron Rothschild; today it is under the control of the Natural History Museum, London. It houses one of the finest collections of stuffed mammals, birds, reptiles and insects in the United Kingdom. Wikipedia

Great for rainy days

Tring Local History Museum provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the interesting history of this local town and it's surroundings. It's an ideal introduction to anyone visiting the town for the first time.

Lovely tiny museum about Tring's local history, with interactive activities for children, like finding metals with a detector or making a plait.

From the moment we arrived to the point when we left, the lady volunteers were so friendly, welcoming and informative. They were incredibly passionate about the museum. We visited after my son had passed out from RAF Halton, and had travelled from Derbyshire for a week in Tring. If we are in the area again we will definitely visit, and I wish the museum well for the future. A brilliant time line of Tring's history
