It's free! Good place for kids. The butterfly house only has butterflies in the summer but it's good fun trying to spot them when they're there. Some of the information is a little dated and it relies a lot on victorian era taxidermy for the displays. Most of it is very informative though and easy for kids to understand. They have a working beehive with glass panels as well. It took some persuasion to drag my two away for lunch.

Yes this has been around for years but it's still a nice little trip for the kids,we pop in every school hols & the exhibitions have changed sometimes so it's not always the same. Theres lots of interesting things to look at and do,exploring & finding different butterflies in the garden is fun & it's free!!

A small but interesting museum. The butterflies were great and they are extending the range of butterflies they have. They have a good number of stuffed animals and birds as well as pinned insects. Our 2 young grandchildren really enjoyed it and the small size of of the museum meant it was just right fir small children without them getting bored. It is alsofree to enter.

Although small, it was a mind blowing experience worth every donation. Something that compared to other museums presents itself as live, interactive and an enjoyable place to be for all ages. A place to learn about nature with educational live specimens and replicated displays that makes your soul buzz with child like wonderment. In this museum you become eager and hungry to learn more. If you like museums and new experiences please take a look at this free museum.

Great place to take the kids. It's free. Plus lots to do around too. You have Canoe Lake plus a water park. Rise garden and mini golf too. We love visiting the butterfly's.

Great little museum and butterfly house.
Buggy users need £1 coin for locker as they're not allowed in museum.

Small but interesting natural history museum with a butterfly house which is pretty good. The exhibits are well presented and the section about urban foxes taught me a few new things.

FREE ENTRY 😁
