I have been meaning to visit for a long time. The volunteers were very welcoming and showed plenty of enthusiasm for their extensive collection of hovercraft ranging from a hover chair to the Mighty SRN 4 Princess Ann. We were shown around by one of the volunteers who had an extensive knowledge of the collection. Go and support them and keep these amazing machines alive for others to enjoy

Great place, shame they get no external funding, being the only hovercraft Museum in the world, we should be championing it, the volunteers are doing a great job and hats off to them. Worth a visit 👍

More interesting and nostalgic than I expected. I'd like to go back on a day when they're offering hovercraft rides. This doesn't happen everyday, so make sure you check first if you're hoping to go for a spin.

Great collection of hovercrafts and memorabilia. Really interesting and all the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Fantastic place to visit. The main attraction the SNR4 Princess Anne was Incredible to see again. As a child I travelled on these incredible machines 4 times a year, I can still remember the roaring of her engines as she took us between the UK and the main land. Many other craft to see and be informed about. Lovely helpfull volunteers and staff.

Brilliant visit yesterday. Fantastic museum, very professionally run by friendly volunteers, who were all very willing to help and interact with our two young children. Lots for young ones to do, loads of displays, models, great cafe and shop too!

A great place to learn about the history of the hovercraft. And a great price for a cup of tea £1

Run by volunteers it is really worth a visit. Opening times are limited so don't miss the opportunity if it presents itself. There are some remarkable big beasts here and it's a privilege to get up close and even enter some of them. They proudly point out that its the only museum of its kind and if its not supported these engineering marvels will be lost. Truly worth supporting.
