Part Museum and Part Art Gallery this place is a little treasure and seems to have a bit of everything. Paintings, Natural History, Antiquities and a bit of Archaeology thrown into the mix. Good to see space given over to Canterbury Pride and history of the Pride movement. All in all, something for everyone here. It's free entry but you need to book a time slot.

We loved it! It’s not too big - just tight for us. Lots of variation and interactive bits for kids. Great rainy day or indoor activity in Canterbury city centre. Pram friendly.

Free to visit in a very beautiful building, lots of art and curiosity items on display - from taxidermy to antique glass and china, toys. Little display of beloved animated characters: Bagpuss the cat Ruppert bear and the Clangers. Was a treat to see everything there.

I went to this Museum & Library by chance and was amazed to see the collection. Don't know why its not famous.

Located at a 2min distance from the Westgate Tower when you walk towards the High Street and Cathedral.

The entry was free. A good library, couple of fantastic galleries, Museum rooms were there.

Various paintings, swords, weapons, doll rooms, cute cartoon characters, animal and birds made of different stuff were really adorable.

This place is very well maintained and staff is also nice.

Must visit for kids and family too.

I was very impressed by this museum. There was a wide range of items on display which were thoughtfully presented to appeal to both children and adults.
The was a special exhibition of children's film and book characters such as Rupert the bear, Noggin the Nog, Bagpus and the Clangers. Again very well presented.
This museum is free to enter but there are boxes for cash and electronic donations.
There is a small coffee shop on site but it seemed to be closed.

The perfect place for a family.
We can spend there hours reading children's books, cooking books or just have rest on the carpet. They have kids workshops and story times and summer reading challenges with real medals. And also winter events.

Just read today a really funny book.

Amazing layout, intertwining aspects of both museum and art galleries! I went with the family and there was a lot to enjoy, with activities for smaller children to partake in too.

The 'Mirror Mirror' exhibition was great, and the staff scattered around places knew a lot about the pieces and items! First time visiting, but would definitely visit again some time when in Canterbury!

We enjoyed waking around and seeing the different articles. The team were lovely and very helpful, plenty of things to see and read inside. If you’re in Canterbury then certainly do visit here as something to do. I look forward for the future of this museum.
