What a gem! This museum is a little pricey but worth it. (And you get to revisit during the year on that ticket.)

It is very informative, both adult and kid friendly (with some hands on displays/areas for kids), and a good way to spend 1-1.5 hours.

Specifically it gives interesting info on how we get our water, what happens to sewage, how it’s changed over time, why it’s important, and much more.

The museum also has clean toilets, parking, and a nice small cafe if wanting tea, coffee, or a snack.

The museum volunteers have done an amazing job adding guided tours for children and weekend activities such as miniature engine displays. The ticket is fairly priced at £18 which grants you access for the whole year, and children are FREE!
Lots of interactive activities for children such as hands on pumps, games room, outside water pumping area, just to name a few!

This is a five star attraction if you have young kids. It details the history of London's water supply, which is intricately related to the steam pumping technology that was built on. There are several BIG steam pumps on display. But to engage kids there are 6 or 7 separate play areas including an arts and crafts area and an outdoor science water play area which is great for hot days. Parents can take coffee and cake from the shop into the play areas. The Welcome Desk even offers spare sunscreen if you need a top up.

So much for children to do. Even with Covid-19 it was still a nice place to visit.
There are even more new exhibits and they fixed many things like the water pumps. There's so much to do for people of all ages.
One time tickets can be pricey but for just around 20 pounds you can visit how much you want in a whole year! It's amazing for people who live in the local area.

There's just so much I don't know how to describe it!
It's worth it!!!

Water and steam science museum, my son enjoyed this museum so much. It has educational functions and entertainment functions.

Be aware of the opening time since it doesn’t open every day.

A hidden little gem. I spent around 3 hours here which wasn't enough. There is allot of detail which I like to read all about the past and present water and sewage system. I went on a Friday afternoon and practically had the museum to myself. The pumps were very impressive. I'd recommend this if you live local, well worth the entry fee.

Great day out, very interesting, superb splash area for younger kids. Lots of information about water and its circle of life. Also the history of Kew pump station and old steam pumps. Pleasant café. Ticket is a year pass to encourage you back. Hope to do a steam day
