Me and my boy just loved it. It's tiny, but full of vintage things. You can learn a lot about local history. Admission is free, but worth giving donations. There is lovely lady at reception and a tiny souvenirs shop with it. Prices are not bad. They also organise different events across the year for kids. And attached to the museum, there is a lovely café - yummy cakes and icecreams and more. You can enjoy your cake and coffee by the pond, enjoying company of ducks and all sort of water birds. Duck's food available from museum's shop - at the time was 30p for fairly large bag. Bargain to keep kids occupied.

A small museum which glimpses life inside a provincial house of the 18/19 C. in Carshalton. Mikdly interesting. On sunny days the teahouse takes over. Curiously, I have a same collection of traditional irons. I use them as doorstops.

Interesting local place to visit and learn about the history of the place, I never knew about this place until randomly went there. The guide / reception lady is super friendly, informative and engaging. It's worth going, and a must if you are a local.

Very informative for anyone interested in local history. Very helpful and friendly in such a historical and beautiful part of Carshalton.
Overlooked by All Saints Church, listed in the Doomsday Book 1086.

Really interesting to learn about the history of the house and local area. Great for adults and children with lots of toys to keep the little ones busy.
