Lovely little museum, a lovely visit. Not very big inside but a old grand building and easy to find your way around. There is a military section.

Enjoyed my visit to the Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum. Some art, some local history, some local culture, and lots of local military history.
Current art exhibit Hokusai’s Great Wave is a well curated collection of Japanese art over time.
Interesting historical collection about Worcester, too.

Lovely art gallery and museum.

We happened to visit whilst they have a middle earth exhibition, which was great fun to see.

Free entry, friendly staff, great exhibitions, and an inexpensive cafe.

What more could you ask for.

Go now while the eye of Sauron is looking the other way 🧙🧝

Very interesting exhibition of Canaletto paintings from the Duke of Woburn's collection. The museum is also worth a look. A pleasant cafe serves drinks, cake and snacks. Within easy reach of train station and town.

We travelled to Worcester City museum especially to see the Canaletto exhibition and it was entirely worth the trip. The museum is not large but is varied, well curated and fascinating. But the portrait gallery and the Canaletto exhibition are wonderful. The information provided with each picture gives insight "with a twist" as it highlights the impact Canaletto, and his art, had on English culture and society. We had a thoroughly wonderful afternoon and the relaxed, friendly staff were the icing on the cake...and speaking of cake the cafe is lovely too. Small, simple and welcoming. Only a small menu but it's always better to do a few things to perfection 😁...curried parsnip soup! a revelation! Also I must mention the complete disabled access, marvellous. Thankyou Worcester City museum.

A little gem set in an old building with character. Small cafe with tasty coffee and cake. Good variety of exhibits. Normally free although I paid to enter the temporary Canelletto exhibition which was excellent. Small good quality gift shop and friendly staff. Handy for Worcester, Foregate Station.

A chance find on a day trip to Worcester. Close to the rail station, it has a wonderful cafe serving a range of quality drinks and lunches. The museum housed mainly an extensive history collection of the Worcestershire Regiment with life sized mock ups. Small local Roman and other early history collection. Children's fun and learning corner too.

Excellent museum and art gallery with a wide range of displays. Not enormous but plenty big enough for an hour or two soaking up the history. And it has a small cafe and shop so you can have a rest too.
