Great Haseley Windmill

This is a splendidly restored Windmill which you can walk by anytime and admire. It is open at certain times throughout the year (usually on a Sunday). I don't know if they have a website I suspect they probably have and that would be the best way to find out about opening times.

Wander around to get lost!! Discovered this gem whilst I took a wrong exist on M40. Located just off the motorway, this restored Windmill is nicely located off the Great Haseley village.

You need to drive off A329, turning left on Rectory Rd (whilst arriving from M40 exit) to park road side and walk towards the windmill. There are other ways to get there for sure, though I found this easy.

Respect the neighbours and the farm animals.

A stunning piece of restoration. I was privileged to be asked by the projects restorer, David Empringham, to create a new finial for the windmills top to replace the old Oak one which had perished. Rather than recreate it in Oak the decision was made to use modern materials to reduce the weight and cost. A fantastic project to be part of and the windmills restoration is magnificent.

Stumbled upon this place during sunset, it was beautiful and spectacular treat to the eyes. Went in on a weekend, was not crowded, got a place for parking.
