Beautiful station being meticulously restored. The setting is stunning, right next to the viaduct. The station seems to be open at weekends when the volunteers are about, always willing to show visitors around and answer questions. A very pleasant woodland walk too, ideal if you have dogs. All it needs now is some track and trains ......

Well worth a visit, the station is in the process of being returned to its former glory, nigel will give you a brief tour and history of the Lynton and Barnstaple railway, a great introduction to the narrow gauge railway and also a nice woodland walk

Happened upon this by accident when looking at the viaduct. A nice impromptu visit to a well kept site with second hand book shop. We were told the history and what is to become of the station in the future. It is free to visit.

I visited on a Sunday morning (also open on Wednesday's) and it looked fantastic. I was shown around by volunteers and I was impressed by their enthusiasm to turn around this little gem. I can imagine the train chuffing across the viaduct towards Barnstaple. Also had a look at Snapper Halt two miles away. Beautiful!
