An interesting museum built around a huge kiln, with information on the once important industries in the area. There is a nice cafe with a selection of cakes and savoury snacks with a garden and play area outside. A free car park is just a short distance away.

Great place with great coffee. Really enjoyed a nice breakfast cob and slice of cake.very nice modern setting with plenty of space and little play area outside for the kids. Staff are warm , friendly and polite and really make you feel welcome. If you like a slither of cake be warned these are great cakes but you got to be quick , they are popular. For a place in its infancy they have made an amazing start and living close I am eager to see this great little spot grow from strength to strength. Highly recommend this place for sure.

I had an hour to kill between jobs during my working day and what a find this was, I wish I could of stayed longer. Very helpful, friendly and informative staff who gave me all the directions required, insightful and well detailed exhibits, some of which are interactive. A simply lovely museum which I would love to re-visit.

Really nice place, fairly plush in its decor and furniture, the staff are very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Definitely recommend.

Sharpes pottery is free to visit, and is interesting, informative and very well maintained, it has a nice cafe/restaurant and gift shop and on various weekends and school holidays craft fairs and things to keep the children entertained.

I don't think that autumn was the best time to visit, the museum was absolutely freezing. Although I do understand why, you need more visitors to financially justify the cost of heating a place like that. Having said that, entry was free, discreetly requesting a donation before you leave.

Interesting small museum exploring the history of the local pottery industry. Some magnificent exhibits that are more than a match for the more well known potteries such as Moorcroft.
Great tea rooms with homemade food, their sausage rolls are out of the world, and friendly staff.
