A very prestigious building, in the centre of Settle. A great cafe forms part of the museum - with a small garden at the back, which is nice, too.

The staircase leading from the ground floor to the first is very imposing - easy to imagine the effect it would have had on people in years gone past.

We did not actually manage to get into the museum itself. We only had a few minutes to spare, and did not want to pay £ 4 for each adult to spend just a couple of minutes there.

We had a lovely visit to The Folly yesterday, we met a friend in the cafe for lunch, & although it's not a large menu there's some great things on it. Our dogs were made very welcome & were given treats which they enjoyed. We will certainly go back there, the food is really good & it's such an interesting place to visit.

A lovely little museum. Well worth a visit. Staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the exhibits. There was wheelchair access which enabled the whole extended family to enjoy the facilities. Free entry.

Lovely old building with plenty of exhibits and information boards. Enjoyed the art gallery on top floor too. Lovely cafe, can recommend the butternut squash soup.
